Yesterday I got my very own Sony Ericsson X10 (upgraded from the Nokia N97) and I must say I really love it! For me, it is the phone that has most things I want in a phone. Great camera, fast and zippy UI, touch sensitivity is quite good, nice built quality and the Android OS is really user friendly. My X10 is currently running on Android version 1.6 Donut but I will update tomorrow as I want to see the differences that come with 2.1 Eclair after experiencing 1.6 donut. I got 1 question though, does anyone know wheather the X10 does get an FM Radio after updating to Eclair or it just has no radio at all?

This phone over rated. Poor battery even with update. Laggy software even with no apps running,terrible voice call volume,meida scape is annoying to say the least keeps losing album artwork & photos go missing. Camera has blurry right side to photos,HD video is jerky.flash is pathetic.SE made a poor phone here

Well, a quick look for new visitors:
--The first thing that catches our eyes and makes everyone jealous is the nice and sleek design :P
--And the huge shiny scratch resistant screen! TFT capacitive touch screen at 4 inches - 854×480 pixels. Shows 65k color, there is no word about getting an update to 16m color yet. the screen looks great even with 65k color, but 16m color is something else in my opinion.
--Then the unique and beautiful UI! The Mediascape and Timescape, they've got even better after the update, fast, smooth and lovely with better transition. And also auto scrolling for Timescape that lets you read messages without opening them and more capacity for tiles. And Mediascape manager has improved.
--And the excellent 8MP camera that is fool featured: autofocus, LED flash (but it's still a photo light) touch focus, image stabilization, geo-tagging, face and smile detection (it can recognize up to 5 face to save their picture between previous taken pictures from those people or under their contacts), among HD video recording with continuously auto focus! Isn’t it GREAT?! But HD playing remains good because of the limited amount of colors that screen is capable of showing.
--3.5mm audio jack & micro USB port and 8GB memory card included, officially supports 16GB but 32GB memory has been successfully tested on it!
--the whole 384mb of RAM is available now with android 2.1 and the 1 GHz Snapdragon processor is still kicking.
--Android 2.1 so you can use lots of applications and games from android market.
--And the build quality is excellent and it really feels awesome and absolutely comfortable in hand.
Other improvements Due to android 2.1:
--Live wallpaper
--Social phonebook
--New web browser UI
--Thumbnail view for bookmarks
--New call UI
--New keyboard with default android skin
--New widgets
--New 3D gallery
--New face book client UI
--overall better performance
--html 5 support in web browser
AND, of course no phone is perfect and this phone has some lacks too:
--No front camera, but video calling is possible with Fring by using the main camera (it’s not cool at all IMO)
--No multi touch (we know that the device is capable of that but as far as i know they are still not able to get it work perfectly, on the other hand there was some words about One finger zoom feature )
--No build in radio (on the other hand it has MW600 with radio and brilliant audio quality and you can enjoy listening to music or radio, 10 meters away from your X10)
--No DivX and XviD video playback (you can download some applications from market to solve this problem)
--Average loudness for loudspeaker (but the audio quality is excellent)
--Earpiece seems to be a little weak
Some people are just so stupid to understand that nothing is perfect in this world and everyone has his own taste. i for one, don’t care which company has built this thing, I don’t care if it's a SE or Sammy or Moto! I care about the result, and when i look at this thing, I know that I Love it...so if someone has a problem with that, He can go jump off a bridge!

connect the data cable to ur phone but not to ur computer
now press the back button on ur phone
and then connect the data cable's other end to ur laptop or computer while holding the back button of ur phone
and when the screen says release the back button...release it.

Taboy, 03 Dec 2010All I can say is I love this phone and is still loving it. ... moreI am writing this reply to you from my x10 and don't worry about multitouch 16m colours or froyo,it is seriously rumored froyo and gingerbread will come to the x10 and with them the multitouch and 16m colour display isnt that great?

Hye guys, im having prob in updating to 2.1 vrsion.. either using pc companian or seus same prob.. both mention turn off the phone.. does it mean shutdown the phone? After shutdown, i need to press the back button while connecting usb cble to the phone... but nothing happen when i keep press the back button... what should u i do? Anyone pls help me,

[deleted post]Thank you for protecting me. I bought it for the replacement of my old Nokia. :) I like Sony Ericsson, I had 2 SE phones on the past. :) I couldn't buy an X10 because it is expensive now. About the Satio, I can't find one in my city.

George, 04 Dec 2010I have a problem with my X10, I tried to make the 2.1 updat... moreuse seus!download seus,u need not switch phone on.if there is a triangle remove and put battery back and hold back button when connecting usb to pc but before open seus on your pc that download software itself just follow instructions just one important thing.your battery must be charged at least for 50%
