So I got my Xperia x10 yesterday and updated to 2.1 and the next day my phone when I check my phone, it shut off by itself and wouldn't turn back on or charge. I tried removing the Sim card, memory card and reinsert the battery still it would not turn on. I tried hard reseting by holding down the left and right key and power on button doesn't work after a couple of attempts, the phone finally turn back on and when I made a phone call, the phone automatically shut off by itself again. I'm sending the phone back the the seller in Hong Kong and get my refund.
Has anyone have the same issue like mine?

X man, 16 Nov 2010Still cannot update 2.1 version From Malaysia.....are you on branded phone? mine was unbranded and got 2.1 on 3 November ago..try update over-the-air..if you have notification telling ur fone have update then u are good to go.. that's how I got mine..

Guys, I'm also from PH & also unable to update to 2.1, What PC OS are you using? I'm using XP SP3 on my PCs, I plan to change my PC OS to Win 7 ultimate & do the update again as I think my XP OS is kinda corrupted.

Rod, 16 Nov 2010Samsung Omnia HD (i8910) is still better than SE X10. It... moremy dear but symbian support only low resolutions screen.it cannot be good even average,it is bad,very bad ,we write year 2010,wake up!

Chris, 16 Nov 2010Hou can I update to the 2.1, I am in IndiaConnect to SEUS and follow the steps on the screen, if it says ur on the latest software ignore...go ahead with the next step...if it downloads 160mb plus...then it is 2.1 else its 1.6 n u cancel the download if its 1.6...try ur luck :) but it is released for India :)

Chris, 16 Nov 2010I have downloaded my application & gaes form the Androi... moreDoes your new back up software has the feature to backup apps , if yes then ur good to go ...else download an app called titanium backup from market, requires root access...n once backup is complete...go ahead n install 2.1 and then after installation install titanium backup app from market which requires root access...n then import the backed up file...and that's it :)
PS: these are softwares n can crash anytime ..so don't rely too much on them ..if there is something very imp to u, note it down...although they work 99.9% times but then again u cannot guarantee...:)...phone contacts can also be synced with ur gmail n exported to ur computer in csv format :) hope that helps..

hi guys,
honestly speaking, the only thing i like abt the 2.1 upgrade is HD recording. Someone kindly advice me on the following.
1.Speed is very slow when i click on to access the menu
2.How to set automatic light sensor?
3.I want the old display of the phonebook. New one really luks ugly. (cos i dnt hv pics for my all the contacts)
4.Battery is used up very soon
5.How can i take the cursor between letters, when i type?
