Does anybody experience the same problem that when the battery reaches about 10% (i.e upon discharge) then the phone itself turns off. When I turn it on again, sometimes it stays on, sometimes it turns itself off again in some time (I have not ascertained the logic when it stays on, when it does not).
As most of the time the battery level is far from critical level (i.e 1-2%) then it cannot be described as a phone self protection. Or can it be?

AUVIE, 30 Aug 2010dear roar thanks again....... actually i just purchas... moreGlad to help.. First. you need a program called PDAnet or Easy Tether to use your X10 as a USB modem. I am using PDAnet for that function, haven't tried Easy Tether, just Google it, you will find it. For the Timescape, I'm not too sure why it's doing that, but are you sure your phone connect via 3G, is the 3G logo there, near the battery indicator? If not, it might be using GPRS/Edge connection, and it will time-out, before it can get all the required data for the first time it connects to the service. Hope this help...

actually i just purchased that set yesterday so i m very much curious. hope u wont laugh at me. :D :P
i just downloaded pc companion and its working. thanks again for that....
but i want to use internet in my laptop using that mobile phone via data cable or bluetooth. there's no such option in that pc companion. how can i do it??
and 2nd prob is that,,,,
i cant use facebook or twitter through timescape. it says
"authentication failed" and below it written "connection failed"
though i can use fb through its main browser. i also cannot set up its "google account" same dialog appears. and for that i cannot use google map google talk gmail etc......... what should i do????

wish i had the time n patience ...would keep it updated on my blog... :)
btw 2.1 is gonna be out soon.. :)

Once the 2.1 update comes, you will see in you notification bar that there's a software update for your phone. Just press update and it will do it. Or you can open your PC Companion and start Support Zone then do the update from there using your PC internet connection. Hope this helps...

Good News for X10 owners...
Sony Ericsson Spain has confirmed on their Facebook channel that the Android 2.1 (Eclair) update for the Xperia X10 will launch during week 38 (20th to 26th September). That fits with the “end of Q3” timeline we’ve been given previously – it’s good to know that this date still appears to be intact. No other details are hinted at, however, we’ll keep you posted with further developments. (Copied from one website)

hi guys! im using this phone for quite sometime. and yup the battery is a big problem. advice is always turn off your wi-fi or 3g connection if not in use.
2nd is the keypad yeah i find it hard also using the android keyboard. but recently i have download a new keypad in the market. and u can choose iphone htc android and more keypad on the application...
you can also make ur interface looks like a iphone if your tired in timescape home.
all in all i really love tis phone... although im planning to get iphone 4 also. still tis phone rocks. i can download song that i want here anytime anywhere, and as well as video on youtube... so its really great.. and its is the phone with the best screen...

Yes, the touchscreen quality is good and responsive. the camera is awesome. The only problems i find with this phone is that the speaker isn't that loud even when maxed out, and the battery dies quickly in the beginning, so u might have to charge it and let the battery drain a couple times first. Also for texting the standard keyboard sucks. Make sure to hold on to the place where you are writing your message and switch it to android keyboard. All in all its a good phone with good games etc. I would recommend it for someone who needs a phone with a good camera, unlimited social networking, and calling. this is not a phone designed for texting like a blackberry. if u need a texting phone get a blackberry instead of this or you'll regret it.

CTC, 30 Aug 2010Hello, i just have an idea to switch my phone to SE X10 ca... moreyes it has real player and you can install other players for free from market, i have some cracked versions a friend of mine provided, like video players and document , powerpoint etc editor it is capable, the weak points are... camera flash is weak almost unusable, only in near objects, battery has issues in the first week later it gets much better 2 days heavy usage wich is good for a 4inch display, the weak points dissapeared after some visits to market store and good choosing for your needs. overall this phone is more than powerful, at least for me i have it white, some say its girly but its diffrent for me, like a white miniMac that looks cool... i d recoment this phone? deffinitly the best i have

Hello, i just have an idea to switch my phone to SE X10
can anyone please tell me what is cons of this phone??
coz i know this phone is good in design, camera and processor, how about other aspect?
and can i watch video in this phone, i mean does this phone have real player? How about microsoft powerpoint or word?? can i read or edit it too?
Last question: can i upgrade the andriod 1.6 to 2.1 or 2.2??
