A quick look at the SE Xperia X10 for those who are new to this phone. It's my review guys coz I had this phone for about a month, but sold it as it was unsuitable for me.

--The first thing that catches your eyes is the nice and sleek design.
--TFT capacitive touch screen at 4 inches - 854×480 pixels. But, No Amoled or Super Amoled screen. Only shows 65k color, but it'll show 16m color after OS update because the hardware is capable of showing 16M colors. For now it’s limited by android 1.6.
--Unique and beautiful UI! The Mediascape and Timescape (performance has got better after the latest firmware update) Although IMO, its very slow.
--An excellent 8MP camera that is FULL featured, autofocus, LED Light Only (but it remains photo light only as it CANNOT be updated to a LED flash), touch focus, image stabilization, geo-tagging, face and smile detection (it can recognize up to 5 face to save their picture between previous taken pictures from those people or under their contacts), with WVGA at 30fps video recording. SE has said that after an OS update it'll be an HD recorder.
--Standard 3.5mm audio jack & micro USB port and 8GB memory card included, officially supports 16GB but 32GB memory has been successfully tested on it.
--384mb of RAM and the 1 GHz Snapdragon processor. But can Never be upgraded to Android 3.0 as 500mb of RAM is needed.
--Android 1.6 only. but it's got SE custom UI (for example it can transfer files via Bluetooth unlike so many phones with 1.6!) and it'll get android 2.1 plus with UXP upgrade in Q4 2010 (October/November/December). It should support flash too! And the greater news is that SE has promised to update the X10 through its life time!
--And the build quality is good. It really feels great and comfortable in hand.

AND, of course no phone is perfect and this phone lacks some items also:

--No front camera, so true video calls is impossible. But one way video calling is possible by using Fring by using the main camera (it’s not cool at all IMO)
--No multi touch and can NEVER have multitouch (SE is working for an alternative and we know that it has “1 finger zoom” feature)
--No build in radio(on the other hand it has the external Bluetooth MW600 with radio and brilliant audio quality and you can enjoy listening to music or radio, 10 meters away from your X10) Of course, this means an extra accessory to carry with you.
        --No Music Equalizer.
--No DivX and XviD video playback
--Low Battery Life problem (it gets slightly better with firmware updates and by some terms of use)
--Low loudspeaker volume(but the audio quality is excellent)
--Earpiece seems to be a little weak --No free GPS. Plus Agps must be used, meaning there is always data charges when using the GPS.
        --Very Expensive phone
        --No true camera flash
        --No WiFi “n
        --No Bluetooth 3.
        --Made in China

So…it’s not the best in term of Specifications, but some people might like it :)

Most of the applets were not working since this has old Os version, it will be upgraded, but still others will reach higher which will give the same situation again,

Unfortunattley it seems we dont get a normal led flash on this phone even after the update to 2.1 which supports led flash. I buy a premium price phone with 8 mpx camera and it doesnt have normal working flash like samsung or nokia phones. It is just plain ugly on of manual flash

Help needed, 15 Aug 2010Help needed Hi all I am trying my best to play MP4 on my... moreTo Help needed

If your video does not fit full screen that means the video ratio does not match the screen ratio, you will have to crop it or add and border to the video by a video editing tool to match it. otherwise it will get stretch or not will be full screen.

                          for example

the ratio of a 640X480 pixel video is
                          640/480 = 1.33333

the ratio of a 320X240 pixel video is
                          320/240 = 1.33333

above videos has same ratio, both will fit a 480X640 screen.

                          your screen is 854X480 is = 1.77

So it wan fit this screen

your phone will get 16M colors after update, don't worry, but don't know when, 16M is way better than 65K !!!
