Alternate to smart dialing is direct dial :)
you need to tap on your main screen select shortcut and select direct dial for any contact ...it works like a charm :)
I miss Xenon Flash :( but then again LED gives u lowlight condition video camera recording ability...but i still my Xenon :)
Well Battery isn't that bad as other phone's I've used although I would loved to have this phone atleast last a day if i use 24hrs wifi :D but then thats juts a dream...no phone gives me that even galaxy s is no exception as thought earlier..
X10 has 1500mh battery wish they had 3600mh it would have been amazing :)

We are not just se fanboys choosing phones by looks. I have tested lots of phones.i know that x10 has features that could be better let me explain what i miss.
1; smart dial from x1
2: xenon flash from k850.800
3; stereo speakers fom 5530
4: batery duration from smsung jack i637
Iknow what im saying x10 is really a cool phone.the best web browser i have seen. Big nice screen. Mine came with16 gb sd . Yes i see tv. Listen radio. Edit photo but those sfter market android all free. Brujula chroonometer. Everithing you need is here. No one like.
Or im using this a lot or 1000mh is poor in x10 battery .or mine is new and will improve.

btw camera on cellphone's have digital zoom and not optical zoom...so it will get grainer as u zoom in...you'r actually not zooming for read, you're just the same pic and zooming inside the pic..don't know how to put that into words lol sorry...hope u got my point..its better not to zoom while clicking pics with a cellphone...
and a cellphone camera cannot compete with a standalone camera atleast till today :)

So to root your phone means, you're the administrator of your phone. although the process of rooting can brick your phone i.e make it dead if not done properly and void your warranty.Cellphone companies don't like giving admin rights to the user as you can tweak the system as per ur conveyance. Rooting on x10 means you can remove apps you don't want like moxier mail,timescape...etc...also some apps on android market does require root access.
you can try googling its easier that way...coz there are adv and disadv of the same.
PS: do not X10 is only rooted on OS level, so you cannot install custom ROM's like 2.1,2.2 ...etc.

Like i was at the world cup zooming in on the field and whenever zoom gets close to max, the pic looks terrible. is that normal for all cameras?

All you really get in 2.2 is that super bugged version of flash, which is used for adds, will kill your battery and will crash your browser and maybe your phone. Most websites have switched to HTML5 thanks to the iPhone and the X10 is amazing with things like HTML5. I will be turning flash off, and never using it.

I mean I'm just hoping 2.1 brings in the best of X10...although would have wished for 2.2 ..but honestly im happy with 1.6 too...so any update would be welcome too :D
X10 is diff from other phones even the ones running on android.
P.S: tried replying before but GSMARENA didn't allow me :(

So do I. I cannot imagine if 2.1 os has going to be a major significant notable upgrade. I love 1.6 snapdragon, fast and nice

btw i prefer TFT screen over Amoled as the colour looks realistic on TFT and also the visibility under Sunlight is way better on TFT..then again its upto one's personal taste :)
Well being on 1.6 X10 is only using 256MB at max usage and it has 384MB ..so don't see it an issue and it supports future OS upgrades as well :)
and its never lagged even once ..so i'm happy with what i've got :)
