I was very happy when I received the X10, and though It will be a good refreshing change from the Iphone. However, I quickly became frustrated with the Xperia X10 mainly for 3 reasons:
* While the screen is big/ crisp and gorgeous, its not as intuitive and as responsive as the Iphone 3Gs. what a shame
* The "speedy" 1GHZ snapdragon isnt noticebly super quick as the phone review suggests. The 600 MHZ Iphone 3Gs is fairly comparable to the X10 when loading webpages and pictures...
* Finally, we Email and send SMS too much in this day and age, and the Design Engineers folks at Sony Ericsson missed the opportunity to build a reliable and consistent keyboard to be on par with the competition. I found X10's keyboard not precise and nimble as the Iphone. Sometimes, I had to hit the keyboard twice to get the correct letter.
Sony, I reckon you missed out on a great opportunity to take the lead on the segment of the market XL smartphone, but the lack of finishing quality (software wise) made me return your phone and revert back to Apple.

im downgrading my phone at this very moment...lets hope it works and then i can update to new firmware which was released in my country :)
btw i was having issues getting update with twitter as well probably yesterday but it didn't force close on me.

Ravz, 08 Jul 2010Did you install any new app,which might have triggered it? ... moreuhm, it is ok as of now.. i think its the Timescape Twitter is the one triggering it. I am not using timescape twitter right now, only facebook and it is working fine. At least thats what i noticed last night and i havent tried logging in at Twitter Timescape. And i did a repair using PC Companion already and a factory reset. All is well at the moment.

[deleted post]Perfect, jealous that the thing, as soon as droid x will be release then milestone x will be announced with froyo for sure at the same time droid 2 in USA with froyo. later milestone 2 to come as well. jealous you are, you did not wanna believe to moto 2ghz announcement but now htc savor rumor 2ghz, samsung 2ghz as well. sony cannot announce a such device because of x10 sell it's already bad and by announcing a 2ghz x10 will fail anyway x10 failled already with that outdated android 1.6 look all new moto release get android 2.1 flipout, charm, droid x anyway the 20 android device that moto promise still coming one by one. Believe it or not moto will make more money in Q1 2011 with the 20 android phone with droid x, droid 2 and the moto 2ghz no Sony will be number 6 and moto number 5 so easily.

brynn, 08 Jul 2010someone asked earlier about downgrading firmware,,ive never... moreits easy to downgrade ...all u need to do is download the firmware...there is a simple trick...but seus just upgraded its program putting an end to the trick...but they have a new trick now :) so its still possible :P
well i guess they have this photolight button on off thing coz since its a light and not flash...most of the times u wont be needing it ..

someone asked earlier about downgrading firmware,,ive never been able to do that since firmware updates come out..May these hyperx firmwares are swappable but once s.e. update on seus thats all you can get and not an older software..Thats me tho maybe there is some secret option..
On flash led i agree with that person its not on and not picking on s/e its looking back at s/e camfones and they were brill..The k750i,w610i,w900i and k800 for starters showed s/e capable of good cameras yet in a top smartfone they make a big mistake,,s/e should put good cameras in their fones like its just the norm for them...
This is only a software problem if anyone would agree with me and surly could easy be fixed with quick update..

Can anybody... moreWhen ya open the camera app..click on the left hardware button and then goto advanced settings ...click photo light and select on...and get back to your camera view using back button ..that will do the trick :)
X10 has LED light.

before you do anything just take a backup using backup and restore app now that u have in ur phone.
try restoring to factory settings...looks like you might have damaged one of the system files.
