Btw, could anyone tell me with the recent update for the x10 which improves the camera, will it bring the click camera sound, because im having some fun with my uncles, since there is no click sound when taking a pic..

And I only wanted to share my experience with others which is that se is still the best regarding camera phones and I mean it!If you have a chance to compare the satio with the pixon 12, just go and see for your self how much better the colors looks in the satio, they are real! And more accurate.
Ok the pixon 12 takes amazing pictures, but the colors are not the real ones as the true sence your picturing! So for me for sure I will prefer the handset that makes what I'm picturing as real as possible.

I used to prefer the white one, but after seeing the x10 in real life I prefer black. Also, the white one gets easily dirty.

Big thanks to the guys at XDA, you are great.
For those who don't know what rooting is, it means you can install custom roms on your phone. Stock android 2.2(Froyo) for example.

Its soo slick and saw videos of it and it performs pretty well.. and just for a change.. i wanted to try a diff OS.. getting too tired of the same old apple OS.. :P

I've been using the X10 for abt a month now i had the same problems as listed by you but i managed to find a few apps on the android market that improve my X10 tremendously although it doesn't completely resolve my probs.
I install:
:Advanced Task Cleaner 2.0
(Battery life improved tremondously)
:Ringdroid
(Lets u use music files as ringtones or
notifications and able to edit them also
Sound increase louder depend on your music tone)
:Battery Widget
(Informs you your battery energy)
Hope it helps i'm just a noobie learn the tips from
all the seniors from here

Can this phone record in 720p? I don't seem to find the setting for that. And how do I make the ear speaker volume a bit louder? Is already set on MAX volume. Otherwise is OK. I still thing I should have bought the Galaxy though :-(

Xperia X10 software update…..over-the-air

Many of you have been asking about the software update coming to the Xperia X10 this summer and we are pleased to share the details of it today.
This update will be gradually rolled out across our markets over the coming weeks, pending the completion of quality approvals for individual markets and operators. The first updates are now live across selected markets. Please check with your local Sony Ericsson customer support when the upgrade will be available for your market and network.
When the update is available in your market you will receive a message in the notification bar of your X10. The easiest way to get the new software is to accept this update – you can use your mobile network connection or a WiFi connection for the download. Alternatively you can update your phone using your PC – please visit www.sonyericsson.com/update and follow the instructions.
This update focuses on improving the general performance, speed and responsiveness of Xperia X10. For example, there are speed improvements in messaging tasks and camera UI. In addition we add a free back up and restore application so you’ll never lose your settings and information. In selected markets, PlayNow™ with premium apps and games will also be added.
We hope you like these improvements. Please continue to interact with us. We listen to your feedback.

A... morethe latest upgrade firmware r2bao20 improves the speed of the phone alot n its even much faster than before n responsiveness of screen has improved greatly n specially on bottom parts n messaging has also improved on the corners

My dad just bought the x10. Ive been using it ever since. At first i loved it.
- the camera is great
- its so organized
- its an android!
- design and way it sits in palm is great
But it has been slow, and i didn't download any apps yet. The keyboard is annoying to use. Everything has to have a gmail account which annoyed my dad.
Personally i was going to buy this phone but now i changed my mind.
