sony x10 shakira probably the android walkman. it s smaller than x10 may come with froyo. be release maybe in fall. this is scary because if is a success, it will stop people to buy x10 and if the x10 shakira failed sony may lose a lot. this must be released with froyo.

nick, 05 Jun 2010but guys, these new batteries need to be kept charged. t... moreI do not quite follow you?! I have heard and read so many different opinions about the proper charging of Li-Pol batteries that I gonna be sick. What I do is I completely charge it according to the way I have described and then use it until the red light starts blinking. Then before I plug the charger I turn the phone off, then plug the charger and again charge it accordingly the way I described :) I hope you followed me :D

the whole cycle thing of letting them discharge then fully charging them is murder for the batteries

davie, 05 Jun 2010so helper is my phone normal then? that when you charge it ... moreOne thing I remembered about charging during night is that I left the phone to charge in the evening around 11 pm and when I woke up in the next morning 7 am the Battery Indicator showed that only 88% of the battery was full and it was charging...So my guess is that when you leave your phone to charge for a long time, it somehow consumes power A LOT if you do not unplug it (it does not make any sense).

Definitely the phone had not charged from 7% or so to only 88% in some 8 hours. So the conclusion from my experience is that if you leave your X10 to charge for a long time it begins to discharge very quickly after reaching 100%. Unfortunately I do not know how long the phone has to be plugged in as of fully charged in order it to begin discharging and when the phone starts charging again.

If I charged the phone during the night and the above described happened, my phone lasted only about 24 hours. But charging accordingly to my shared way, I can get about 75 hours of phone life. Great improvement in my opinion. For example since my last charging the phone is unplugged for 19 hours and the Battery Indicator shows that I have 93% of battery still left :)

davie, 05 Jun 2010so helper is my phone normal then? that when you charge it ... moreI would say that it is normal that your phone does that (as mine does it as well). But in the big picture (compared to my previous phone experience) I would say that it´s not quite normal....I hope that you understood my point.

It is annoying, but in case you want the maximum power out of your X10 then I would not recommend to leave it to charge for indefinite time (f.e during night while you are sleeping and cannot unplug it after it is full).

Yet, as I explained in my earlier post, then you should not unplug it immediately after the green light goes off, but only after that the "overvoltage" has disappeared. In order to know it, you have to install Battery Indicator program...

                      Best regards
