I am not a nokia fan, but a nokia user since the last 5 years, so u can say a fan if u want to, whatever u like.
I always had problems with nokia device because of the bad voice quality and phone signal in general and always heard good things about Sony eric, but was a little shocked to hear after making my first phone call that voice quality just wasn't as good as I heard about it.
Nokia menus felt similar so I wanted a change for sometime now, didn't realize that I needed to download apps such as file explorer in order to see pictures sent from my n97!
Thats a very good question, if I am a symbian user why did I buy android x10?
Because I had no clue that this was android, in fact I knew nothing about android at all. I went to get a new sony bravia tv saw the x10 and really really liked the design, so mostly I would say I got crazy about the looks and the sales person told me its a lot faster than my n97 so I took it, was getting the white1 but since the n97 is white, I went with the black 1.
I originally wanted the satio sometime ago, but had no plans to get a new cell since the n97 is only aroud 6 months old.
So since u keep saying the x10 camera is very good, I opened the x10 n n97 camera side by side, I just don't see a big difference apart from the color the difference in the display size which of course the x10 is bigger and I've also noticed the x10 isn't as responsive when changing the camera directions.
I will check the camera setting like u suggested. and YES I do have a X10, otherwise I wouldn't be going to all the troubles to write messages and asking for app downloads and yet to get an answer about RM player format music.
I also have a n82 and ur saying that n82 camera is better than the n97? Do u have something against the n97?
I can't say I am a Sony eric fan as this is my first ever sony eric phone, but I am a sony fan in general when it comes to tvs, ps3, psp go which I am extremely happy with, can't say the same about the x10 which I hope changes later on.

As with all Android devices, there have been many people striving to get the X10 rooted since it’s release a few weeks ago and it should come as no surprise that the particular group who have managed to achieve this are from xda-developers.com
Now this isn’t quite open to everyone just yet as it requires the use of SETool, something many of you here will no doubt be familiar with. It is however a big crack in the X10 shell and you should be able to mess with things in no time meaning Eclair could come to the X10 much sooner than Sony Ericsson would have thought.

ramin, 18 May 2010yes i think you are a nokia fan too you wants to tell us t... moreAt least mike1200 came with his opinion based on his own experience, he own both n97 and X10, taking some pictures with both phones and found he got better pics by his n97; perhaps he knows a lot better how to optimize n97's camera, but not with X10, so why dont you tell him how to improve X10 camera if you know better than him, thanks to him for buying X10 though he still thinks n97 is better, if you try harder helping him to improve his X10 performance, I believe he would be more satisfied with SE, so do not show him your uncomfortable feeling when a nokia fan having an X10.

if you liked symbian why you have bought x10?
you could buy satio-vivaa-x6-5800-omnia hd-innov8-etc
my uncle has x10 and i have tested all the things about this phone
camera is excellent in 8MP range
video is not excellent but good(it is excellent in regular video range but it cant compete with hd video quality of omnia hd and vivaz)
maybe camera settings of your x10 is not correct(if you have x10!)
i am SE fan but i love HTC LEGEND&HD2&DESIRE

but i cant admit that N97 camera quality is the same as X10(N97 has a good 5MP camera but you should know that 5MP camera of ELM&C901&N82&6700 are better than N97)

- X10 mini
- X10 mini pro
- Aspen
all have TFT 16,777.216 color display while they probably only displaying 65k color due the limitation by the OS version.
Then why X10 will suddenly support 16M colors while the specs said the display is TFT capacitive 65,536 color, why should they mention in diff way? About GSM Arena's reviews, many times they changed / updated the contents of their own reviews, so it's still not become a confirmation.

b4 when i tap it, the movie just stop or play. it turned out u hav to double tap it to enlarge.

As a x10 and n97 owner, there are positive and negative things on both devices, just don't make the x10 sound flawless.

also at the launch time SE manager have said:SE will release a major update for x10 in september that will enable full 16m color screen and will upgrade android to 2.1
the source link is in the last pages maybe page 200 or 300 and i dont have it now
you should search and find it
now they have decided to add hd video too
also x10 mini and mino pro has 16m color ready display 65k effective under android 1.6
however x10 with only 65k screen is wxcellent in reality and can compete with my satio 16m color screen
