hi guys - anyone wanting to convert avi files get yourself tipard sony ericson video converter - not the i phone version, 4.0.06 ish, it has a setting for X1 which works spot on for X10
you can download a trial which shows a 3 min version so you can drag that onto your phone to see what its like, its the full screen but see it, ie try before you buy

Could you give me the link where Sony Ericsson has OFFICIALLY promised this depth color changes after upgrading to eclair while in sonyericsson website it says X10 mini /mini-pro already have 16M colors display running under android 1.6?

Bought myself the X10 and my wife an iPhone.
So far the iPhone has been faster in general and text input is better, but nothing else notably better.
My only real disappointments are:
>Loudpeaker volume for calls/music is pathetic.
In the car with the window down her iPhone is still heard perfectly and my X10 not heard at all.
>WiFi connectivity/range seems a bit weak compared to my psp.
>Cannot search in email or copy out text
What I like:
>Camera quality is great and not basic like most other phone cameras are ( and apps can extend the functionality still further )
>Mediascape and Timescape
>Android platform-apps, broad customizing ability etc
>Sony/Android UI
>It's a gorgeous device
>Video/music playback and support.
>PlayNow is cool.
Sidenote:
>Battery life was poor at first but seems to have improved somehow, though only get about 1.5days per charge. ( with disabled 3G and less frequent updates and unsyncd email )
>This is my first touchscreen/android phone so don't have much to compare to except wife's iPhone, and I'm happy with my X10.

No disrepect to all the various opinions; may we use this forum to advance our knowledge on the usage of the SE X10. This is not supposed to be a platform to air your frustration or opinions of other phone models. Can we all focuss on giving each other handy tips and tricks of this new phone from SE. If anyone has something to say on other phone models, please kindly do so on the respective forums. Gsmarena has done a good job on having forums for almost any phone model one can come up with.

Speed of n900 even with 600mhz processor is equal to 1 ghz processor of x10. nd to mention n900 is then only phne which can be overclocked to frquency 1700mhz....u better try it on x10...even in with 1ghz processor it has android 1.6....way behind since android 2.2 is ready to get launched. x10 just better in camera nd applications of android are more available....try using both the phnes nd see the result...don't comment until nd unless u used n900...

video:no thank wvga video of n900 is not good at all(you can see it in N900 review)
resistive screen:no thanks
maemo OS:no i want lots of good applications
weight(181 grams):no no i dont want a laptop i want a phone
UI:no no i dont want a simple NOKIA UI that is always in landscape mode i want a graphical&smooth UI like X10
camera features:i want a phone with full camera features not only geo tagging
CPU:for such a high priced phone i want 1 GHZ cpu not 600 mhz
also i want a phone that support digital compass-MMS-handwriting recognition-twitter-facebook-etc
only N900 is a bit better in exploring net with its firefox browser and flash support

all X10 owners are impressed by its camera
look at gsmarena review:X10 has one the best 8MP cameras like AINO&X2
please dont compare a NOKIA 5 MP camera with SE 8MP camera!

ramesh, 17 May 2010i have an xperia X 10 my videos are not playing in fullscreen?by the term " full screen " if you mean the complete length of teh screen ,,,, i guess it doesnt play full screen .... but if you tap on the video while its playing it will get to a bigger screen ....
