      >Croat, 11 May 2010i want to buy a new phone and i am confused between the x10... moreboth of them are great phones
      i have satio
      satio is very good phone
only satio has 2 main disadvantages:
1.lack of 3.5 mm jack audio
      2.battery life
except these two disadvantages satio is an excellent phone
after second firmware update now satio is very fast
but symbian is a bit old
      my uncle has x10
all the things about this phone is excellent
i suggest you to go for x10 because it has superfast CPU&RAM and modern OS and attractive UI and capacitive screen and really good 8MP camera also it will have hd video recording
but satio is good too in its price range

I bought X10 a week ago it's just a waste of money, there is no radio and most important thing is Divx, there is no support of AVI/DIVX.I recommand not to buy this rubbish divice.

OK all those people who already own the phone (including me) - Please tell me whether you or others around you have felt that the phone is tooo big?
Two of my friends who were checking out my phone thought that everything was fine except the size. Stupid questions on my part, but I really want to know what you all feel. Obviously compared to Vivaz it is big, but do you all, like my friends, that X10 is as big as a "diary"!
I hated that comparison. Or maybe they were just jealous.

optional, 12 May 2010the calendar can be used offline. a google account isn't... moreThank you for the extended explanation. This is a good news for me.

Anyway, I'm going to check this again, coz, I repeat, in local store it didn't let me to use Calendar. It ain't got any further but keep insisting to enter Google account (no Cancel, no Skip).

Obviously though, you are right and I should work out what's what.

            Cheers!

battery life update as per Juice Defender:

unplugged usb from laptop 0600 hrs (6:00am)

                now 1135hrs (11:35am local time)

Battery Life (Juice Defender Widget) shows x1.92
Juicy Plot widget shows 13hrs 9mins left with 94% accuracy.

Timescape: email, facebook, etc. accounts set to update (refresh) automatically every 1 hour.

night clock constantly running (i use it sort of as a screen saver...paired with the cradle.. looks good on my desk.)

Radius, 11 May 2010I saw it with my own eyes: when I started the Calendar appl... morethe calendar can be used offline.

a google account isn't compulsory for the calendar.

in my calendar, i can locally (not via internet) put schedules on it, fully use it.

it can SYNC with google calendar yes... there's an OPTION (not a REQUIREMENT) for you to do that, and will require you to have a google account. obviously you need a google account to SYNC your mobile calendar with google calendar!

SYNC (synchronize), but not INHIBIT (stop, prohibit, not allow you to, whatever) you from using the calendar without a google account.

thanks for letting me know about the pre applied screen protector for the x10.

My own personal experience is different from u. No matter how attracted I get by others phone brands, I'll be sticking with nokia from now on, because honestly, x10 might be good for u guys, im disappointed with it, or in other words never used android before and its annoying for me to be asking silly questions here, while using n97 never had to do that.

I recently purchased the x10, if given a choice, I think I would have gotten the n900 instead of the x10. and save the rest of the money to buy a thing or 2 more.

joe, 11 May 2010can any one tell me which mob better 2 buy se x10 or n900 ?... morei would also add that n900 is a tinkeres smartfone as is often said and people are doing allsorts with it..if i get hold of cheap n900 down the line second hand i would love to use it as a learners device to help in my studies..I still think every shop should have live working models not only to play with but if your serious about buying a fone you could book say half an hour with the device to give it run to tst cam/vid and sound quality plus some of you fave apps,,after your trial the fone could be factory reset ready for next person..Talking of factory reset how do you factory reset an Android fone???

sm, 11 May 2010No secondry camera,,no video calling,,Not so true! No secondary camera doesn't mean it can't do video calling. Main camera also for video call in certain models (btw nokia was the first one to do this when released 6233) like vivaz, elm etc. And in the special edition package they will bring you a mirror inside the box. Have a nice video calling!
