Mayuresh, 31 Jul 2010I m a kinda user who likes to listen to music on the go and... moredude..to be connected is a thing that u must have 24/7 connection to the internet..if u r using a SMARTPHONE,no matter what its name or model or brands IT SUCKS when u have no money to pay the monthly pay for the internet service from ur carrier!..SO,MAKE SURE u have the extra money to pay for that..otherwise,dont use smartphone..wakakakakakkakakaka..

Yap, 31 Jul 2010I've installed helix launcher now but i havent set it as th... moreDO NOT REMOVE the stock launcher. It will ruin your phone. THere's a blog about it. After you soft reset, it'll ask you what launcher to use and just select helix. From there, you need not do anything anymore and your batt life will improve.

GN'R, 31 Jul 2010Guys, charge the phone quite often - i find my battrey life... moreI've had mine plugged in to a computer/powerpoint half the time while i'm using it at home.
Although when i'm using it while charging via computer the power can drain faster than it charges.
And regarding restarting the phone after installing helix launcher. I think SEX2 meant normal restart(turn off/on), although i just went into the launcher's config settings and restarted the helix launcher app and it worked fine.

I guess by doing this it will erase all the data (contacts, messages, settings etc) and m not sure whether it will remove all installed applications. Please reply.

The battery life doesnt seem much better than before. At 51% after 20 hrs with not much usage(involving a couple messages and a few mins using the net and gps) although i'm on a 3g network with background data on.
Do you think i need to make Helix default and/or uninstall the ADW launcher? Also can u change it easily after its been made default?
I have my screen brightness set on bout 30% but yeah it still likes to auto adjust.
I might give turning off data/background data a try and see how that goes.

So you gotta fo for the advanced GPRS then sign into the google account and then browse android market. Android market can be browsed on basic gprs too (i havent tried thougj).
Or else use wifi. gonna try this.

Quick update for everyone, my phone is up for 48 hours now and the battery is still at 40%. My usage is as follows:
- 2g only
- 1 to 2 hours of wifi and bluetooth per day
- 1 to 2 hours of games (love the games) per day
- tried GPS for 1 hour using mapdroyd
- a couple of calls and text messages per day
- tried watching a movie (AVI) using yxflash
- I got my alarms ON always
- notifications ON always
- custom led lights for new SMS (using ringo pro) always
- max volume for the entire day
- medium volume at night
- data connection off
- background data off
- screen brightness to zero but the sensor is still working (weird), the screens still adjusts to the surrounding
This is after installing helix. Before helix, I got a max of 1 and a half days only. After helix, the phone is awesome.
