Guys, do we require Advanced GPRS to access the android market? coz i m unable to sign into my google account using the basic gprs? somebody pls help out.

Battery life on this thing is SHOCKING guys! I'm charging about 3 times a day!! Going to be needing three batteries I reckon!!

I Got this phone. Its nice. This is my first SE phone and i must say its better than Nokia. All these years have been using Nokia. Mine came with firmware 1.6, any using the latest version or Android 2.0? Please do let me know. There are few drawbacks of this:-
1. Camera doesnt have zoom.
2. No multi touch.
3. No bluetooth transfers. Cant even transfer contacts, calander etc.
4. SMS - Viewing can be done better.
I'd give this phone 9/10. works great for me.

android 1.6v the bluetooth is for bluetooth headset only or accessories

got this phone last week from carphone warehouse (£199 with £10 top up on 02)just put my contract simcard in it and have to say this phone is pretty cool,yes screen is small but it has a qwerty keypad which is brill,the touchscreen works perfectly.it's small and cute and a delight to use.

i used to have a nokia n79 prior to this one, its my 1st android phone, 1 thing i had to really research on is how i can sync my outlook contacts to it. you need a 3rd party app just for syncing. i hope they just make a standard sync for all like apple iphone and nokia handsets that we can easily sync with outlook considering the fact that sim card memory cant carry most of our contacts into 1 phonebook.
i'm still getting a hang of its interface, i just felt the outlook sync was sumethin they should look into.

i just got it and i think its a great phone but i cant use java softwares on it.
i have loads of java softwares for this phone on my computer but when i attact the sd card with the computer i dont know where to put the java softwares.
i also tried downloading it on the phone's internet but it didnt work.
some one please help

can you tell me to what extent... moreAs much as i know reading forums upgrade to Android 2.1 will be available in Q3, so it is almost here, i guess. Maybe SE will make upgrade to 2.2, but that will be as far as this baby will go because it's spec won't meet minimum requirements for v.3
I am happy with 1.6 at the moment :)

of course the OS can be updated but im not sure if it can still support the froyo.
although its screen is small, and it's in QVGA, it's in 16M.

as many apps from android market i have used were running with no problems. There were some mistakes, for example when app has a lot of buttons (in menu for example) which do not fit in the screen there is not always scrolling functionality, i guess developers forgot to add, so some of those buttons were unreachable, but this the rare case and i think it's not the phone's problem.
Anyway, there are more apps in market which are running on this phone with no problems than you can try out ;)
