I am (we are) glad that you look more into your device and I am sure as you will go deeper you will like it better and better. I myself using the P series and still using it. One of masterpieces by Sony Ericsson P1 keeping me company from a very long time. UIQ was simple while keeping all its power while WinMo is powerful but not so simple for everyone.
And I am glad that we stay on positive side giving you positive and helpful feedback instead of bashing your head. :)

I really advice Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 owners to visit this company's website. They are a very small company but their apps are very cool! Take a look at it and you may find something that you may like, after all you have nothing to lose :)

The sound is still low, but don't worry you can hear it, but you must be careful in noisy environments.
The phone still hangs sometimes but I guess this is normal for a windows mobile handset.
Finally there are occasions where the handset lags, but it is nothing compared to the lag in MR1.
Really that's it at least for me, some people mentioned that the camera is worse, but I don't think it is at all! The phone is much faster and stable now, and the new UI with wm 6.5.3 along with SE panels and themes just make this phone so lovely and different and let's not forget it's so more user friendly now with the bigger icons, seriously I do love it :>
If your familer with the flaws and you can deal with them, just go for it, I'm sure you'll love the X2 in no time :D

Could you please enlighten me as to the major flaws remaining after the latest update? It would be good to know before possibly purchasing the handset. Thanks.

My previous fons were SE P910 and P990 both being symbian devices. I just visited pocketgear and i'm impressed by what i see there. i'm now getting the idea...so i buy a powerful and expensive phone, and then transform it into something really lovely by putting third-party apps on it. I actually now have Inesoft Phone v6.08 and Resco File Explorer on it and i'm now enjoying the phone. Thanks again to you guys. :-)

It's true unless your a user that has some experience with wm devices or at least is willing to put some effort to discover how much wm are different and how much they really can offer.
Your better off with a simpler phone that is less complicated, or let's say a phone that is mainly for calling, texting and that's it.
The X2 is a powerful tool, and it's like carrying a small computer with you. So if you don't have what it takes to own this baby, your better off with out it I guess.

Before I jump on to bold words against the "NO" brand I want to think to myself that you maybe haven't have much experience with WinMo devices. WinMo has a lot to offer, there are many, and I mean many functions inside it, you need to discover them. Explore X2 and you will find them, use them and you will realize it has much much to offer than at least that "NO" brand can imagine.
But with the above I have to admit it is not as simple as other sets, but when you get power, you can't be simple, can you? :)

jack, 26 May 2010after 2 month use xperia x2 ... now my xperia x2 can't rebo... moreHi that happened to me to. But my phone is a nokia hear what I tried and it worked for me. Take the memory card out of the phone and restart your phone. Then if it comes on without the memory card that means that your phone contracted a virus. When your phone fully reboots put back the memory card and start deleting the source of the virus. Let me know if that worked for you. Good luck

And not always compare it to the iphone. because the X2 is a better phone and has a lot to offer it's a real smart phone not a toy like the iphone. Besides go and visit pocketgear app store online and you will be amazed by how much programs you can find for your handset :)

After MR2 my X2 now works like a basic phone should, and it's fast. Considering its price however, i think it needs to be sexy like the iphone. For instance, it needs an in-built dialer and contact manager like Inesoft Phone v6.08. It should also have a sexy Notes app like the iphone's. And an in-built Personal Information manager like SBSH PocketBreeze that can run inside the spb mobile shell, rather than as a plug-in to the Today screen. What do you people think about my opinion?

after 2 month use xperia x2 ... now my xperia x2 can't reboot (screen just show sony ericsson logo) can't display windows today screen...and can't to be off n reset ... the batery must be out from the socket to turn off the xperia x2 ...

After i had update the lates version, then i install my chinese language writing software, but all back to "Square" One... Why??? got any 1 can recommend lates Chinese Language Softwar???

Overall the X2 is recommended after the MR2 update :)

woohoooo....another slide phone from sony ericsson....sony ericsson slide phone is so cool....becoz it has a very cool feature that the other brands cant compare to....u can turn off the fon by sliding the keypad....isnt that cool?sony ericsson never let us down at this point....omg

So if you are familer with the problems and you have no problem with that then go with it because it's really a good phone and people are trying to find solutions for it every day.
On the otherhand if you want some piece of mind and a device that works much better than the X2 there are plenty in the market, but of course not as good looking as the X2 :)
