I think i have made up my mind: i will skip on the X2a and go for the standard European Edition. It is both cheaper, and available now, whereas the X2a is going to be available for import in approximately 2 weeks time.
but the difference is AUD$895 as opposed to AUD$1040.

But I'm sorry the X2 is not a great phone, just a clone of the X1.......

If you have been handling all wifi phones this a SOP to close the connection to avoid battery drain, to my impression that this is your first time to handle a wifi phone.

in Greece it will cost 470Euro while omnia 2 costs 508 euro... so i may buy Xperia 2 because it looks better

Thank you for your great and honest feed back. I really like the fact that you were comparing it to other phones, which means that you have some experience and you know what your talking about.
Still, I think this device is wonderful and is worth the buy. And I'm sure if this device was not great you would not have purchased it.

karl, 16 Jan 2010s/e phones got good design and features BUT its way OVERPRI... moreCouldn't agree with U more. The OM2 is way better than the X2. Also it cost way less. It has lots of updated features as well. The X2 is simply a clone of the X1. I was going to get the X1, but got the OM2 instead. Now I have the HD2 and LOVE IT.............

I was having second thoughts about getting this device, was thinking to delay my buying for 5 or 7 months but hearing from you two I am thinking to jump back in the que. It would be greatful if you guys updates about your new findings or anything from time to time.

U have to loo... morehe is rite the phone does not lag at all it feel solid in ur hands, the camera ive only tried it in 8mx it works good for me, screen very finger friendly, it auto rotates in the media players, speakers are superb also the hand set with the base. U see what people dont realize is that like nokia phones that play loud with base they play crappy but this phone plays crisp, internet works pretty fast, youtube videos play very good with no problem, the phone downloads ur Emails or should i say sync with hotmail so ur mails are rite at ur finger tip, well for the panels i only use 4 of them that is to my likings but every body's different

Got the phone for 5 days now. have used almost all the features and here is my feedback (like it or not), here it goes:
> Camera - not that great pics for a 8mP camera. Pictures are not bright under low light even when taking at close range. i've seen better 8mp cameras on Omnia HD. Satio is probably the best in this area.
> Sound quality - audio output is far better than Satio. Sound is crisp but lacks the bass and equaliser. Hoped if X2 has this, even Omnia II and Omnia Pro has this.
> Keypad - excellent and very nice to use. Tactile feedback is great.
> Battery - lasts me for 2 days with nominal calls and email usage with some internet browsing.
> Handsfree - the supplied handsfree comes with walkman bass which gives the hearing pleasure. Very good quality music and clear call quality. One of the best handsfree i've seen bundled in phones these days.
> Panels are improved from X1 but not much to shout about. i guess this is probably what makes X2 different from Omnia II or HTC. Some are very interesting but most of them are just glamarous. No real value.
> Price - very expensive for WM phone. I would expect to not pay more than USD 500 for this. Its running on the X1 hardware to be honest.
> Finally, it does not lag at all but do sometimes run into orientation problems. After using it for a couple of hours, the accelerometer seems to freeze up and the landscape stops working. I guess a firmward update could solve this.
Hope this helps guys! If u guys are seriously looking to buy this, check it out at the stores first and also do compare this with Omnia II and Omnia Pro which should give you more value for its money.

I just got this phone a week ago, and it has been great until just now. One of the two speakers stopped working, and I'm wondering if I accidentally changed a setting to trigger this. I've tried restarting it a few times but that did not help. So should I send it for repair or what?
Also, I've fully charged it a few hours back but now the batt's almost flat. I didn't use it much today. In fact I don't use this phone much at all; I'm a 17 year old student busy with school.
Anyone encountered the same problems? This is frustrating me, SE.
(Btw I'm posting this from my X2)
