SE has done the right thing, since WinMo works on 16 bit depth (65k) color, then it useless for the phone having 16M color display. Next time any complaint about the color limititation should be aimed to WinMo OS. Not to SE.

Buy this, after 6 months Sony Ericsson will want you to buy their new WinMo 7 or Symbian or probably Android phone.

sorry se i have x 1 since 6 month i had cracks in the housing body in my x1 i went by warrenty to change it they told me warrenty dosent include this ok
i told them i will pay they told me not available till now for 3 months
and in the end they told me even if u pay we are not required to change housin am usin se since my beloved t68m
but reallt i hate u guys i will using home phone but no se any more havin x1 with the feeling u have nokia 1100 no care no support

this is good phone but the bad things are so
the os is big problem
and no digital compass
65k color is realy tragedy
8mp camera is good
the rival are dext and n900 but n900 isnt capacitive
and too expencive
dext is best price at market today and capacitive
android is very well
se must make x2 with android os

I think, there is a new competitor for X2, this is the Samsung Omnia Pro B7610. This has just got launched in SG. Comes with a lot of features too ... DiVX, DnSE, 16m colours, Amoled Screen, Graphics Accelerator ... it seems the only thing X2 has at this stage to boast is the 8MP camera. If the sound output quality and reception is going to be like X1 (which i strongly suspect), then i'm definitely going for Samsung OmniaPro.

If you are one of those who care about hardware then X10 is on front row rider of Dragon where if you go for physical keyboard and some (little out-dated as others called) power into small package than X2 should take the lead. They both have advantage of Design, Color and Camera over any other handset out there. (Altough the only problem is that they both are not out there yet.)
So far, my personal choice is still X2 for design, size, panels, camera, keyboard and couple of other things.

PPCs will only have Winmo Pro
WM Smartphones will only have Winmo Standard.
the main difference between the two is the touchscreen functionality - thats it.
Yes there are some UI differences but im talking abt the core of the OS.
