So what about SE m... moreYes, Sharp is the leader in mobile phones in Japan, they have the biggest profit there. :) After Sharp is Panasonic, or Fujitsu. I like Japan very much, they are SO ADVANCED, but they are not present in the global markets, but Sharp, Panasonic, and Nec promised they will enter in Europe! About America I don't know anything.

That info about Walkman phones, was said from Sony, there is wrote the source. We will see the truth at MWC next year, the things can be changed in bad, but in good too! Let's hope the company will finaly wake up, and they will announce even more high-end devices, the X2 and Satio will not help them 100% from big trouble. They also need to produce more mid-end phones, and smartphones too. Many people wants to buy a better smartphone(cheap), but if the copany does not have a cheaper smartphone with at least Wi-Fi, that guy will buy another device. If I know correctly, Nokia has a cheaper smartphone, with good functions(well I am NOT talking about a big internal memory phone, I am talking about a cheaper smartphone with Wi-Fi) Wi-Fi is an important thing, and a touch screen function is important too for a mid-end smartphone. I really hope the company will announce great devices at MWC, if they will dissapoint us, me, I will choose Sharp when they will arrive in Europe.

the funny thing that se do not announce anything and we just hear news from here and there... i still did not understood this strategy that 3 rd parties provide information about se ,,, whats holding se to tell the truth and to provide the information to the public ,,,,
we are just fed up from this mysterious attitude ,,, se has to change and to be more open ,,,
in short we have to leave things to time and 2010 will show the final destination of se ,,, i would love to see a company growing back to its glory ,,, but i dont support the mystery mentality ,,, only these mysteries and widespread in se sites and they so called it leaked information ,,, its not pratical and its not healthy for strong se supporters to be mentaly tourchered this way ...
on the other you have to understand that sony support to se is not to the extend that we are proud of , , i beleive that samsung has better integration of its camera and display deprtments with its mobiles ,,, look at se , what did really sony gave to them ,, only names with big financial burdens ,,, sony have to understand that sony without se will go even down and will not catch again the emerging giants like samsung and lg..
se needs the full back up of sony in the media sector and needs, and this should change in 2010.
on the other hand se has a different site and products for japan , why ? nokia , samsung and lg dont !! why this so ! so i can see a probelem of integration of thoughts inside se and to sony ... i strongly believe that for se to become great again , they should unify the whole market products and they should distribute all phones to all markets and sony should contribute more .

se have paid high price to sony to use the cybershot and walkman names in their collection and i dont think that with todays se ecnomical situation they will be able to pay high price to sony to use these names extensively in their future portofolio , , thats way se invented this new name entertainment unlimited to shife from these 2 names ,,,, so how on earth se will use the walkman plan of sony ? this means that they will add extra cost on their budget ,,, please dont forget that sony and se are different companies with diffferent management and structure.. do you agree ????

Glad to ... morewell said. looks like x2 is going to have the same lags of x1. what a pity. they should have used a better processor. i bet htc hd2 is coming out sooner with a twice more powerful processor and x2 will look like a joke comparing to it, especially considering the fact that it is sooo expensive. how ridiculous.

I have a great site about Sony Ericsson, but it is in hungarian. I think you don't understand hungarian, I can send you the site if you want. :) That info about Walkman phones is really true, on that site is mentioned the source is Sony. Sony said those infos. This mean, we will see really high-end Walkman phones, Sony has 32Gb, and even 64Gb Walkman players. About Cyber-Shot phones, SE will continue those series too. This was mentioned too on that site, and I am not lying. ABout the new Entertainment Unlimited phones I don't know anything, probably the company will continue those series, the new Satio phones will have big screens, great camera, Symbian OS, but NOT much internal memory, and the Walkman phones will have big internal memorywith OS, butsmaller screen. ABout the C series, they will add probably optical zoom, and maybe even CCD sensors. This is a logic, if SE will continue their Walkman and Cyber-Shot series.

I just read the WinMo 6.5 review here minutes ago. Glad to see SE fanboys have nothing to insist on it to defent this crappy X2 anymore! They used to shout about this untested difference, 6.5 vs 6.1, to defend against those who say X2 has nothing to offer vs X1 after 1.5 years!!! Now they can shut up and accept that SE is doing nothing except tricking people by rebranding the same sh!t and sell it for twice the price!

I don't care much about the screen size. But if this phone has a faster processor like in the Omnia II range, I would take the X2 over the HD2!!!

But SE need to produce more smartphones, in every year they announce max 4 smartphones(in 2008), but they need to produce more phones with really high specs, like the X3 has. I wrote about Sony gave SE their 2008 and 2009 Walkman plan, this mean SE will continue their Walkman phones, and they will produce phones with 32GB internal memory, and even 64Gb, because Sony has 64Gb Walkman player. Next year will be interesting.

Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) didn’t have a CTIA booth this go around, so they sent their Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 with the “Windows Phone” booth to keep things interesting. There was no way I wasn’t going to get my hands all over the X2’s improved arc-slider and 3.5-inch OLED capacitive touchscreen. The X1 launched Sony Ericsson’s high-end XPERIA brand with high-end style last year, leaving some big shoes for the X2 to fill. We just had to find out if it did.
Changed from the X1 days is the touchscreen. The XPERIA X2 boasts a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen that’s flush mounted. No more recessed resistive nonsense here. The arc-sliding keyboard is more comfortable and feels less cramped than the X1’s. And, of course, there’s the 8.1-megapixel camera tucked into the curvy shell.
The Panel UI still allows you to change your homescreen to fit your changing needs and moods. There are new Panels available too: a kind of cheesy Sim City-esque Sony Ericsson panel, new Windows Mobile 6.5 panels and more. The new Slide View feature takes center stage in the X2’s interface, serving up an inspired shortcut menu design that makes it easy to hop around oft-used phone features like missed calls, messages and panels.
I think XperiaFan is telling the truth it has 3.5 inches and OLED Capacitive Screen... Click the link and watch also the video... No stylus used to operate the X2...
