I have the xperia x2 and it cant do anything for sh!t, it cant even playback it's own video it takes! Furthermore, it restarts often, slow in general, weak video playback and it's battery don't even last a day with no-to-mild use. Don't get this phone! I would also like to know if it is possible to install Andriod on this phone instead of WM 6.5.1. WM SUCKS!

I also miss SE 2010 he used to be the star of this forum.... moreI do appreciate your kind support , the phone at the repair shop now they called today telling that the phone will be ready on next sun !!! I hope !!!
By the way I did the 2nd way to reset the phone it didn’t work !!, but the 1st one that I don’t know & I might used it IF the repair shop return the phone with same problem .

laky, 25 Jan 2011I was so happy with EX2 , but am facing now BIG problem !! ... moreI understand your problem . you cant UPDATE SERVICE cause ur phone can not connect with pc . so i think u have to hard reset your X2 , to hard reset on this case you have to :
1. Remove the battery
2. Reinsert the battery and turn on the phone, be ready to press two keys on the keyboard
3. Once backlight goes on, within 1 second press and hold win-key (top left) and O.
4. In the menu press W to select clean boot
5. Press Win-key to boot the phone.
Another way to hard reset :
theres a small pin hole on the back under the battery cover. top left just under the camera. seem to remember reading in the instructions that its some kind of hard reset. not sure if it will do what you require. youll need a pin or tiny screwdriver

I was so happy with EX2 , but am facing now BIG problem !! which is , the phone after download some nice prog. Freeze with black screen with Sony Ericson in the middle .
Any way I went to S.E web site trying to solve the problem !! then I discovered the way to update the system , the Waite screen comes with S.E logo in the middle the smile come back to my face …but not that long !!
The phone refuse to connect to the pc then the dream s vanish any way I sent it to the agent hope it comes to live again !!!
You may ask what prog I was down loading !!it’s the one that make the screen rotate automatically that EX2 doesn’t have ;(

Akhil, 24 Jan 2011I have got an Xperia X2 fed up with it because of speed. te... more NO you can not port Android to X2 , cause you need hard spl and we still dont have Hard Spl for X2 .
But you can make your x2 to look like android . you have to download and install ANDROKKID , is copy of Android . download it from google .

What's the difference between Xperia (x2a) and ... more The X2a is especially for North America . X2a has NAM 3G bands while the X2i has EURO 3G Bands. That is the only difference.
NAM models always have a higher price, its always been that way.
No performance changes
Unless you need NAM 3G the X2i would be a better buy, and euro spec phones are prone to more frequent updates

Who can help me?
I just have received an X2 (latest software) and when the phone is on, a message "call barred" is displayed. Pushing OK does not make the message go away. Tried everything to no avail. The issue seems to be linked to a software bug by SE as I read somewhere else, and happens if one is using two sim cards with one phone number (in this case, one in the X2, the other one in a blackberry). Has anyone experienced this as well? What are the fixes? The X2 is, because of this, regrettably fully unusable. Thanks a lot.

My friend like to buy this phone , but when he had it on hands , after he decide to buy another one cause this phone work very slowly and freez often .
Shame for Sony Ericsson , i dont beleive Sony Ericsson anymore .
