Hi man, and it's nice to meet people from Ghana, I already met a person from there and he is very nice and polite, so it's nice to speak with another one now :)
Regarding your points, you seem the kind that is very accurate and therefore I'm sure the iphone would be a disaster for you, knowing that it lacks a lot of even the simplest functions.
You have some good points, and I indeed agree that if these kind of stuff were added to the x2 it would be even better and greater. However, I always believe that nothing is perfect and you never get everything you want and therefore I always try to appreciate what I've got, at least if it has most of the things that I need :)
thanks a lot for sharing with me your experience and I'm looking forward hearing from you soon :).

Hello SE2010, pls bear with me if u happen to find my sentences a bit winding.Though i'm educated, i don't do much reading so i've lost some of my fluency in the english language. And in case u wonder where i live, i'm an african living in a country called Ghana.
Yesterday i expressed the desire to have SE provide more lovely Screen Transitions in the software for the X2.
Today i'll like to speak about Improvements they could make to the standard Phone application in the X2.
No. 1 - Close Button of the XT9 keyboard could be more Finger-friendly
----------------------
As i'm sure u know, MR1 brought some enhancements to the Phone app, so whereas we had only 3 tabs along the bottom of the app, we now have 4 tabs namely Speed Dial, Contacts, Call History, and Keypad. Now, if u tap the Contacts tab, u see your list of contacts, with a Search box at the top. Now, when u tap the search box, an XT9 keyboard opens up for u to type your search-word. That XT9 keypad has a close button at its top-right corner (it has a down-pointing triangle in it.) Now my point is that, this Close button can be more finger-friendly if SE makes it as tall as all the other buttons. To me it's too short. (Alternatively, SE could design the app such that tapping the Search box again closes the XT9 keyboard as is the case in Inesoft Phone v6.08 and Iconsoft PhonEx v2.2)
No. 2 - It should be easy to copy phone numbers in Call History
----------------------
Please consider the following scenario:
Jack gives u a call...Later u want to send Jack's phone number via SMS to Paul.
I haven't fould an easy way to do this in the X2's standard Phone app. When i was using P990 and P910, it was very easy to do such a thing. It was just a matter of tapping Jack in the Call History, then tapping 'Copy Number' from the menu...then after switching over to the Text Message app, tapping 'Paste' from the menu...and voila u r done.
In X2, i don't see 'copy number' on the menu, so i have to rather tap 'Edit Contact' then scroll to the number i want to copy, highlight it, press Ctrl-C to copy it bla bla bla! It is too long a process, and i believe SE can provide a simpler way to achieve that. (If the people at Inesoft and Iconsoft have provided such easy means of copying numbers in their phone apps, and SE themselves also have done it in their P990 and P910, surely they can do it in Xperial X2.)
No. 3 - It should be easier to send SMS to Non-Mobile numbers
------------------------
Consider the scenario where Paul, my contact, has 2 mobile numbers.
The Contacts app would not allow me to store the 2nd number as a mobile number. So i'm forced to store it as either a Home or Work number. (I know that this is a restriction found in Microsoft Outlook, so probably SE felt constrained to design it that way.)
Now, while in the phone app, if i tap Contacts and bring up Paul's record, SE have provided a button that could be tapped to send text message to the Mobile number, but because the 2nd number has been stored as either Home or Work phone number, no provision has been made to easily send SMS to it.
I think SE should re-look at that design. Both Inesoft Phone v6.08 and Iconsoft PhonEx v2.2 have such provisions.
Let me end here today. Tomorrow i shall explain why i'm asking for these functionalities from SE eventhough they are all available in Inesoft and Iconsoft's apps.
Thanks.

Man trust me, you are free to express what ever you want! Believe me that we welcome feedback no matter what kind it is.
The idea that we only appreciate positive feedback is totally wrong. But let me tell you this my friend, since I have been for a while here. There are many people that even don't own the handset and yet they claim they have it and start posting things that are even not true.
This mostly happens in the x10 forum, it also happenes here but it's less often. The point is these kind of people waste everyones time with their nonsense. But ofcourse if someone owns the handset, he is free to express him self in anyway he wants, but not to the point that he may be rude to others.
I know it may seem kind of complicated the thing is, your a polite and well mannered person and everything you will say is welcome, because we know you, and we know your serious.
Cheers :)

SE 2010, 24 Jun 2010Thanks for sharing with us your experience my friend :)
... moreYou caught me! Yes, i first used the name eenll, then posted later on anonymously. Now i'm using "aka Baby" because i'm also known as 'Baby'. i think i shall maintain that name until further notice.
Sure, i love the phone, but i've recently experienced a few hiccups which i would be happy to have resolved.
I'm a bit slow in posting them because i'm doing several things at the same time, but i'll surely post them all.
I also intend posting the list of things that make the phone lovely for me.
So kindly bear with me.
Initially, i was a bit apprehensive that expressing my sincere feelings about the phone would elicit unkind reactions from people in this forum. But i've overcome that feeling.
Since i don't have anything untoward about SE, i think i should be allowed to freely express my feelings.
If SE is able to provide what i want, i would be happier, and believe me the phone would become more popular, to their advantage.
So, there would be moe posts from me...i'm not done yet.
Cheers :)

As far as I understood earlier from our previous conversations that you were totally happy with your X2? So did this feeling fade away, just curious :) ?
And if that's the case what made you change your mind? Anyway, I hope your still enjoying your phone and that you didn't regret such purchase.
Cheers :)

I'm happy for those who love their X2 the way it is. As for me I'm looking for more from it...And i'm going to enumerate all the things i want from it with the hope that SE eventually adds them to it.
1. Cool Screen Transitions
--------------------------
I don't just want a phone which works right. Otherwise i would have stuck to my P990 from SE.
And it seems SE also recognizes the need for some screen transitions, that's why they have provided the cool transition u see when u double-click the Panels button. You see how the current screen spins around beautifully before it displays the 9 panels on the Panels screen? That's the kind of thing i'm talking about.
But there should be more!
I understand the xperia X10 abounds in screen transitions, and i don't want to accept the X2 being left behind in that regard.
And to those who wonder why screen transitions are so important for me, just read the article below by Stuart on why the iPhone is so popular:
http://www.globalbeach.com/2009/03/19/why-is-the-iphone-is-so-popular/
"Using the iPhone is relaxing. Seriously. The gestures, the screen transitions, the responsiveness all combine to make a calming user experience."
I bought this phone because i wrongly assumed SE had followed the pace set by the iPhone. I was deceived by it's high price tag, and also by how well the software on SE's own P990 was.
That's all for now. The other things i want from the phone will follow later.
Cheers :)
