I have this set from last two years and I like its speed, video clearity and its touch response but the camera have no zoom.

Vinu, 15 Nov 2012There is a pair of button on its side which you use to adju... morenot true, i have one , even on photo its modify the volume of the speaker, you cant zoom in or out. at least haven't found yet after more than one year.

people's choice, 27 Oct 2012can anyone tell me how to zoom with experia x8 camera? pleaseThere is a pair of button on its side which you use to adjust your phone's volume. This works as zoom in or zoom out while taking pictures. If you want to zoom in the picture, double tap on the screen it will work.

I have it going for about a year now. Still no problems with it, and it's a great phone.
Sometimes the UI can get a bit sluggish, and loading the pictures in the album can take a while sometimes, but it's nothing you can't handle.
However, you absolutely need to flash a custom 2.2 or 2.3 ROM. It does wonders for this kind of phone.

i've been using my x8 f0r 1 and a half year,dr0pped quite many times and it still w0rking great..just d0wnl0ad s0me camera and ph0t0 editing apps if u want t0 and y0u'll see...thanks t0 SE f0r making great yet aff0rdable ph0nes:)

this is ny first android phone n d second one is SONY xperia U.
xperia x8 looks smart n i didnt faced any problem yet though d camera is poor,no duel cam,no flash,not to upgradeable,no gorila,no zoom op,only 128 mb internal mem...... but have a nice look n less hang set :-) its really for d beginear!! ;-)

I don't know why Sony wont upgrading past 2.1 it's a bit outdated but day to bay it's a good phone by can tend to restart when multitasks ,the camera doesn't have zoom which is disappointing live wallpapers can slow down the phone

This is one of the best android entry phone as i can see...
buying this phone need lots of luck to get a cypress digitizer...
