Had this phone a year now, and it's lucky to still be alive. Much better phones available for the price.

It may possible but if your phone brick , you will not be able to fix it without xrecovery or a pc.
Don't take risk, try to use SuperOneClick or FlashTools via PC.

this phone is good if you know how to love this. im now using a lewa os (chinese rom), a bit laggy but the interface is eye candy

magein, 28 Jun 2012Hw can i change to 2.3??First you must root your device (Using SuperOneClick or Flash Tools). Then Download a custom rom and install. (Currently I'm using Android 2.3.6, GingerCryzt )

i have this phone since mar 2011.this phone sucks in all department.its very slow.u will get sleep.this phone have touch screen problems.if u r seeing the display in daylight u will blank.u can type the msg at freeflow the screen size is very small.not only this phone.more over most of the sonyeri phones.thats why they closed their company.now its only sony.mf company.in my life i wont buy this company mobile.

Glad to help you.
You can root it many ways. (Flash tools is the easiest way). Download the Flash Tools and follow the steps in following link. (This is not my blog, but really helpful. Pretty much every thing is included there, even custom roms also. Credit goes to the developers)

This is my daily rom. No bug with mine, everything works fine.
