I have a Motorola...but I really love the Sony phones especially the XZ2 Premium!!
I really wish You would make another version of that phone!! Super dense ppi, 4k display and higher mp cameras, then add Dolby Atmos, OLED, and a 4000 mAh lithium ion battery...and keep the phone screen at 6" ...it doesn't need to be any bigger.

For trusted face, google made android 10 to support its new face recognition system, so with bad skill software its easier to remove trusted face than continue to provide. The same as fingerprint, they only copy pasting it. Old software in new android 10.

updated to android 10 last night, but it seem full screen gesture doesn't work smooth, feel a bit laggy, i keep it back to pill gesture. And the trusted face was removed!? now most of the time i have to key in pin to unlock as the fingerprint failed is quite high. That just annoying, before update i can use trusted face to unlock easily even not secure

Also touch sound has changed to Google stock.
I tried using the new gesture navigation and I didn't find it comfortable at all, so returned to using the previous gesture controls.

this phone should have a headphone jack at this price lmao and at least a 4000 battery and no wireless charging and ethernet support kind of disappointing

Anonymous, 26 Nov 2019Yeah, I mean if you prefer the Sony brand that's fine but l... moreI switched from the Xiaomi MI9 to Xperia 5, and even though they have the same specs on paper, Sony is miles away when it comes to user experience and what you get for the money. The software is better optimized, the display accuracy and clarity is far better on the Xperia, the sound quality is light years ahead, and overall performance is better (I would get 35fps on the MI9 with all the boosts on, whereas I get 60fps on the Xperia out of the box). Cameras are on par though when it comes to point and shoot, but Xperia's manual mode is far superior.

Have you even tried using it? It delivers greatly enjoyable multimedia experience.
Someone wrote about poor fingerprint scanner. Not true in my experience. Mine works really well (not as fast as previous XZ Premium, but very reliable). BTV side sense is also very useful and works fine).
Most of the critics here criticise based on the phone's image on their screens and some youtubers' videos.
Not trying to say this phone is better than any other, but it is as good as some of the latest phones from Samsung, Apple and other. Maybe Sony phones are not for everyone, but I prefer them.
When the price and spec. sheet is one's priority, it is really hard to be objective. So not for everyone to comprehend.

If they were, they wouldn't be lost the market share and be trailing behind Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, etc. You can find better specs and cameras for less money than Sony's premium.

The Xperia 1 is one of the best designs of 2019 and I wish that it was NOT glossy.
