Most people... moreSony introducing bokeh features earlier than any competitor, but still prefer the realistic not the bokeh added results. For low light, you can't take photo for full dark scene, what they did is only gimmick. The ToF also, who will take photo for two different angles at the same time? The extra zoom in is useful but it also shows no privacy to other people.

    The color on camera 2 is way unusual, you can only see it in Avatar movie, the blueish rendering is artificially especially the water. I just can't find out the photo dishes from my WhatsApp.

Plus for night shots the inclusion of OIS (in addition to the EIS they already had) will most certainly improve low-light shots BEYOND anything any previous Xperia which NEVER had OIS has done. No matter what, I firmly believe this will be their best camera yet.

I often have myself in the situation i need to take photo and i cant get closer, and if people try to shot moon eclipse, you only get black and tiny light, and finally there is a phone that can capture stars and moon.

        Bokeh also important, i mostly shot in portrait mode. So dxo and its protocol is the best.

They want the profit for themself, but always post lost and tiny profit in 2017. Depend on significant tech like triluminos, or a fancy naming of quantum dot doesnt work. When they still with ericsson they was king, and brought many sony stuff, walkman phone and cybershot phone everyone loves.

After owning bunch of Sony flagship up until Z5, i give up when they introduce the X Performance, no cremental updates & overpriced at that time, given the specs.

            While i still using Z5 at that time, bought my wife Huawei Mate 9. And i start thinking about it after experience it, actually not that bad. Then i take the risk jump to Huawei/Honor, bought myself Honor 8 Pro. My god, the pricing, battery, ram, memory, built quality are a lot better than my all previous Sony phone. In fact i dare to say the camera are a lot better than all Xperia's i've own.

            But if u used with Sony, there are things that u want to stick on (media, UI). Its hard to let go. And then i customized Huawei EMUI theme to looks as Sony looks as possible.             Its easy to bashing them when u have no experience with it. Well i do, using both Sony & Huawei phones, and at the moment, i'll stick with Huawei as Sony Xperia future is uncertain.

                  960 fps is good, but most people don't need it.

I still dont get why they thougt... moreSony acquired all Ericsson shares because they wanted to have a full control over the phone division and made them easier to add/borrow some features from another Sony division. Adding heavy features from other division like we have now (Triluminos,x-reality, dsee hx, playstation stuff, camera tech, etc) while still with Ericsson will cost more to Sony.
                            The idea here is Sony Ericsson were 2 companies having work together, so if Sony try to add lots of features to the phone and the phone sold well that would give Ericsson more profit with little contribution. Thats not how business work, Sony would not want to give all its tech even though it would sold well, in the end the earnings will be spit between 2 companies. And so, Sony wanted to have it for themselves, by owning full share means owning full earnings and made them easier to plant all their own tech from parents division.

Last Xperia i use are Z5, now switch to Huawei. At the moment, i have really good experience with Huawei phone.

                                  And for the record about Huawei, smartphone are their small division only, their biggest division is telecommunication company, largest in the world.

                                    RockStar2005, 07 Apr 2019They are doing badly BECAUSE they aren't competing hard enough. Its former sony CEO fault. I still dont get why they thougt need to acquire ericcsson shares, and then did nothing. They lost a lot of money yes. But in that situation, what they need to do is invest a lot of money too, spent a lot for RD, and make the best product.

                                    They did cost cutting instead, this is the only reason why they arent competitive, cant make quality product, lost their popularity , they only depend on shared tech from other division and start cheating strategy, fancy naming everything to make it like a great stuff, yet ask high price like samsung. It start from 2012 When others broght IPS amoled Gorilla glass, they brought cheap TFT and dragontrail.
                                    When others brought dual, triple camera setup, they brought nothing but fancy naming, motion eye, bionz, AI in xperia, steadyshot, superior auto, g lens.

                                    There are many startup, they able to get money easily, while the more established company doing cost cutting. How ironic

It does not support Wi-Fi Calling and Band 71, but it DOES support VoLTE since the XZ3. I know b/c not only did I read ppl's posts on XDA who CONFIRMED it (U.S. version only), but I MYSELF bought the phone and confirmed it as well.

                                        I live in the Chicago area, and here we still don't have Band 71 (T-Mobile) available anyway, and won't until AT LEAST the end of the year. So I'm ok with waiting!

                                        Yeah I'm hoping they wise up, and FAST!
