      Yes, software def matters, and fortunately Sony is AWESOME when it comes to software, including battery-saving software/tech.

      Is that something you use(d) often (FM Radio)? I never do. If I want music I just stream via Spotify or Pandora, or else YouTube. But for serious music listening, I usually download Hi-Res or CD-Quality files from iTunes Store cuz they have the best selection and by far the LOWEST prices as well. I just prefer it that way because if you have a weak or bad connection, that can negatively affect sound quality, so download is best in my opinion.

I a... moreWell here in the U.S. Huawei doesn't even sell phones with all the proper radio bands as well as VoLTE on T-Mobile, 2 things I simply CAN'T ignore when spending around $1000 on a smartphone. Sony on the other hand since the XZ3 offers all of that.

                      I trust Huawei too, but as much as I don't believe they deserve to be shut out, maybe there is more to the story than I have privy of access to. So because of their alleged crimes, I have to go elsewhere for my next phone (unless things change for them, which I don't see happening).

                      I've owned Sony phones that were good and bad. I've also owned 2 Samsung phones that were junk. But because Samsung and Apple have such a footing over people, they can get away with a lot more. Apple has had the same design since pretty much the beginning. Only thing they've changed is removing the physical home button and adding a notch. Sorry but a notch doesn't earn any respect from me.

                      Yeah, the XZ3 was a step or two back in the camera dept, but I'm looking towards the future not the past. Again, maybe you should wait a few mos before putting them down. Samsung used to make ugly ass plastic phones too, but ppl still bought them. They only recently went "premium" where Sony was doing it for years and years.

I actually love sony and nokia more than sammy or huawei. I dont get why fans here always brag about quality. My experience says its not really good, if not bad. I know it might be only me and my friend who got defected product. Also I have a great experience with huawei phone, maybe some people dont.

                        But there is something undeniable, X performance, XZ, XZ premium is a flagship with plastic frame in 2017, premium? Premium from kuvukiland. Their current flagship scores 79 in dxo, falls 30point behind the leader. Quality is never like that.

                          This phone is gorgeous. Slim bezel, tall screen, and they finally put the sony logo on the back. Thank you sony.. for listening to my voice.

                          But the screen is from Lg.
                          I've seen many cases of burnin Lg oled tv. Not sure it will happen to this phone or not.

                            In fact there is only one single part made by Sony in its Smartphones and that is the camera sensor. Every other part is outsourced to third partys.

                              I still have a Sony BRAVIA TV from 2008.........not 4K, but the TV itself still LOOKS amazing compared to modern-day sets.

                                    stryker, 24 Mar 2019no in display finger print. like realyyyyI'm glad though. I have the OnePlus 6T and the in-display FS is not the greatest.........just like how it's not that great on the S10 and other phones out there with them right now.

                                    On top of that, I REALLY REALLY prefer the side FS because that's where my finger naturally sits when I'm holding my phone too. But a lot of the time I use face unlock, so it's not something I'm using the majority of the time anyway.

I don't really care about sales, I care about quality. That's like saying N'Sync is a better band than The Rolling Stones or ANY major act cuz they maybe sold more albums.

                                        I love BOTH Huawei and Sony, but don't confuse some of Sony's missteps with bad quality phones. And at least WAIT for the Xperia 1 to be released before you pass judgments on Sony Mobile. I'm sure you've heard about all the changes they've gone through over the last year, so perhaps keep that in mind in the future.
