Kfav82, 03 Jun 2020That's a real shame it seems like they have gone backwards ... moreYeah you know how people felt when they started taking the headphone off phones? That's how I felt when Sony removed the shutter button from this phone. I don't even understand why they'd do it.
Sucks that they went backwards with a few things (and some software was removed, but if you want a more stock Android experience, you have to accept that)
But overall I am extremely happy with the phone. I can see it being my main for several years. Even if the 5 II is really good, it would just be out of my price range. I can't even imagine what it would take to make me want to pay 2X what I paid for this.

Mar, 03 Jun 2020What is the audio quality on Bluetooth headphones? What hea... moreI mean the quality of the phone is irrelevant when using BT headphones. Aside from connectivity of course (and if you try using BT headphones in a busy city, you know how bad this can be)
I use WF-1000XM3 and they are legit the best electronics I've bought in a long time. They connect fast, stay charged forever, sound amazing, and have excellent noise cancellation. I don't know how they could be better.

I dug out my old M2 yesterday and I wonder if it's the same speaker. That sounds dull but when on full it distorts massively. My x compact now has the stereo speakers too which are pretty good. Will have to live with it I guess. I have always had Sony and don't really want to change

Kind of sad coming from the X and XZ to this - the stereo speakers were one of the main reasons I bought those phones. But my usage has changed a bit, and I use the speaker less, opting to go with bluetooth earphones instead.
If a speaker is REALLY important to you, keep that in mind. It's really the worst part of this phone. Worse than the camera, worse than anything else. It's less important to me now so I don't care so much.

After restart device Voice quality is much better.
Anyone can tell me where is Xperia Themes app on this phone? There was nnicestock app in my Xperia X:)

I installed email and its working:0 i download also apk for woody theme and album (yesterday i do it) and i have some problems. Theme was installed but i dont have it anywhere i cant use it or uninstall. And i can't remove email and album apks from download folder. I hope that wasnt any viruses.. after connectoing to my PV i n download folder i dont see anything (hide files on)
When i romove This APKs i try to install album from the luinks u shows.

Ralf316, 02 Jun 2020i tried to install email app from Play store and from APK b... more@ralf316 my brother used that apk on his Xperia 10 after it got updated to android 10, when he 1st installed it it wouldn't work he found out the reason was he had disabled android system webview when he re-enabled it the app worked fine, I don't know if android system webview is a separate app as on brother's Xperia 10 mark 1 on the Xperia 10 II

117, 02 Jun 2020@Kfav82 I quite like SwiftKey board re minds me of the old ... morei tried to install email app from Play store and from APK but none of them work properly . after install app icon doesnt appear anywhere and i cannot be opened.
on my Xperia x i used SwiftKey keyboard and it was quite good for me now one g board i feel uncomfortable and i probably will back to SwiftKey.
I missed especially widget of album application. i tried to install from APK but it doesnt work just i said.
if you know good application with similar widget give me a sign.
And one more on my Xperia x a used to theme called Woody and i missed it too. It was looking great and changes classic icon circle triangle and square to another cool icons:)

@ralf316 I'm hoping the Sony email apk no 16.0.A.0.12 from apk mirror's website will work as this is made for android 10

Ah guess we can't have everything. The phone looks great from what have read so far. Shame about the apps though, I still use the Xperia keyboard.apk which has the option of the t9 phonepad keyboard that I was hoping to transfer over as I don't like the swiftkeyboard but will have to see if it works.

In my old Xperia x i use it for audio books but there was stereo speakers , there were quite too but sound quality was much better.
Loudspeaker cameras and fingerprint maybe should be better but rest looks very very good.
i tried to install on this phone old Sony Xperia apps like album email or 3d creator but it doesnt work properly.

I don't understand why Sony make it so difficult with giving out information. Even the x1 ii release date of the 18th June hasn't been issued by Sony themselves but the Xperiablog site.

I am looking to buy simfree as have a good pay monthly deal with o2. Don't think we will be getting the free headphone offer though although I will hope to be surprised
