I can't get any updates through OTA for some reason. I've had this phone for about 2 months now and i'm still at April 2021 security level. I just don't get any notifications about OTA updates and i'm sure there are updates available for this phone. I'm from Finland and i know from my earlier experiences with Xperias that updates might take very long for them to arrive in Finland but this is weird. Can someone help me how to update in other safe ways?

It's already half a year since this phone was launched and I'm still keen on buying one. But with the recently-launched Snapdragon 695 chipset, I wonder if I should wait for the Mk4 Xperia 10 with that particular chipset or just buy this one right now.

And that's just the consumer and prosumer sectors. Don't get me started on the professional/cinema/music sectors.
In all of these Sony is either THE market leader in innovation, design, and quality, or one of the few in the Top-3.
Sony is a great brand with important heritage and technical know-how few can compete with. This is something that anyone with a rational mind and a true love for technology knows.
Just because they don't make cheap garish smartphones you can afford, but premium products with design, build quality, and advanced features to match, don't mean they're a "dead" brand or whatever nonsense y'all spewing.
If anything, you guys are the problem, thinking that the tech world depends on the smartphone sector, which is ridiculous.

Maybe their cameras, the... moreI'm not claiming that Sony is the best, but they are bold enough to to keep their line, despite of the market share. And despite the fact that some another manufacturer make phones with better specs (at least on paper), in practice they still doesn't perform better, as bad software or cooperation of wrong components ruins all the possible advantages of the better hardware. So it's not the size, it's how Sony uses it. And Sony does it well, good hardware and clean OS.

This one is for sure severely overpriced for it's capabilities.
I don't really understand why there are still this brand's protectors on any forum, shouting how capable these smartphones are, how much quality they conceal, when the truth is that Sony has literally a market share of 0% in this segment. There really is a reason for that, it's not a conspiry against them.

I was very fond of Sony. But with Android 11 they have removed all their in house applications and there is no room for personalisation. No themes. It's just like any other android phone with a different camera and battery. Why Sony when you open the phone nothing feels like it anymore.
Sorry to say very much disappointed.

i had Sony Xperia Z1 Compact.....and now xperia xa2.. great OS,battery, camera... really good phones without any doubt..what can I buy than sony after all...(I can't go wrong I believe in SONY)...:):):)
