You will get software updates for 2 years until june 2023, every 90 days:
            https://www.sony.de/electronics/firmenmobilgeraete

There will be an upgrade to android 12, more upgrades very unlikely.
Imho it's time for Sony to change this, other brands like Samsung are miles ahead concerning updates and upgrades.

Still a very solid phone, mine arrived a few days ago and i'm very pleased with the build quality, performance and camera.

There are plenty of those with much better chipsets. But... 10 III has much more higher qualitty components or certificats which you can care for or not but they do cost extra money. I think it's fair to account all components phones have before jugdging between phones. It sure havr a steep price, especially on some markets and there is no doubt there are plenty of phones offering a better value for the money. But I think this phone has some tempting things aswell. It all depends what buyer wants and needs. Bye.

                              Hi

I had to send mine back to Amazon as I was having issues with it. When in a case it would not turn the screen on. Fine out of case though which I thought was weird.

Endurance rating is awesome if it applies from paper to real life, but that charging time leaves a lot to be desired.

In Romania, the site where I placed the order just sent me a notification that the product is 5-7 days late ... how frivolous !!

does anyone here know how many updates does this phone get??? like samsung promise 3 years of update and additional 1 year of security patch to a total of 4 years before the phone's end of life, if i'm right.

More UK news... Sony have added more retailers to their 'Where to buy' list so the number of places where you can buy it online has doubled in size.

Since the page update EE have now started offering the 10 III, meaning that only Vodafone customers have to wait if they want to upgrade.

For example, I remember back in 2015 when the 'Stagefright' vulnerability was exposed, affecting MMS messages. I hope it is long gone now but it frightens me to think how many phones out there are still unprotected. At least WhatsApp and other encrypted services are the mainstream now, so progress of sorts.

UK update - I see that VirginMobile have started offering the 10 III as of today. I guess for the others it is a case of wait and see - the global chip shortage cannot be helping at any stretch. Really scary prices for graphics cards right now - just as well I don't need one!
