I really like to read stuff on my phone just before going to sleep. Generally I use the dark mode provided by Opera, which darkens the colors and reduces the brightness. So - does that mean, I will have to deal with a pretty green-ish tint all over the display? That would be pretty disappointing :O

UK network news...
O2 are listing the 10 III on their website. No listings yet from the other main carriers, EE (my network), Vodafone and Virgin Mobile. O2 are offering the headphones until the end of this month. Nothing on Carphone Warehouse either.
Don't know what the chances are of the other carriers listing the 10 III in the next few weeks? Guess just need to wait and see!
Out of interest, I tweeted EE last week to ask about if/when the 10 III would be available. They replied saying they had no information on that time but just to sign up on the 'latest phones' page to be the first to know, which I have done.

FWIW I charged mine to 100% when I got it on Monday and it's at 60% so far now on Thursday. I could easily see it reaching that long.
Not that it has anything to do with having a gyroscope...

They call it an gyro sensor, it works like a gyro sensor, the test is called gyro sensor test...
It has a Bosch BMI220 IMI which has both an accelerometer and gyroscope
Who even makes phones without gyro sensors? And what kind of troll would come in here and deny that this phone has one?

As for people wondering about a gyro sensor, there's a gyro sensor test built into the Xperia support suite, which is one of those games where you move your phone around to guide a ball through a maze.
So yes, it has a gyro sensor

The screen has a very green bias which can be fixed with colour temperature setting
When the brightness is set very low, the green washes over the whole thing though. I thought the screen was defective when this happened, but it goes away once you turn brightness back to normal levels
The vibrate module is MUCH better than the 10 ii. The cheapest thing about that phone was the vibrate, which wasn't a huge problem of course, but whenever you used it, it would remind you... Like when you input your lock pattern, instead of a short burst "doot", it would have a long, loose vibrate. Glad this was fixed.
I am glad that it can do HDR with the extra lenses now. Manual mode is still only on the main lens, but at least you can do HDR now. Picture taking is a lot faster now too, the 10 ii could take several seconds to take a picture.
The other thing I didn't like in the 10 ii was no shutter button. Again not a huge thing, but something I was used to with Xperia phones. Well with the 10 iii the button is back, but it is dedicated to the useless "google assistant" and cannot be changed! I hope someone figures out how to fix this without needing to root.
Still only a mono speaker. I'll compare them directly tomorrow probably
I noticed the performance boost right away of course... The 10 ii was fast enough for me, I don't game on my phone or anything, but there are times where you kind of wish it was more snappy. Now I have that.
I also kind of wish they fixed the fingerprint sensor mode as mentioned in a previous reply. Having it detecting all the time is such a bad design, and totally counter to the reason you'd put it on the power button in the first place. So many times I go to unlock my phone, and it says "too many attempts, try again in 30 seconds" just from being in my pocket or whatever. It should only detect a finger print when the power button is pressed! It only makes sense, and this is how they did it on previous Xperia phones. So weird.
I honestly didn't even look at the competition in this price range. With the 10 ii at $2500 HKD it was easy because the only non china phone option was from Samsung and it looks like a plastic toy with a giant eye cutout where a bezel should be. I generally ignore all Samsungs and China phones, but apparently there's an LG that's pretty good?

Regarding the Gyro Sensor:
There is one. At least Sony UK confirmed it via Twitter
See: https://twitter.com/SonyUK/status/1384879253636931584
And Sony Support Germany via Amazon also confirmed it

Maybe there's something in the newer Android versions that prevent them from utilizing the fingerprint button properly though, I don't know

Mine shipped out today! hopefully I receive it on Monday. I'll post first impressions, I've been using the 10 ii since it came out, but wanted to upgrade to 5G. I hope this addresses some of the (very) minor issues I had with that phone.
