I have used Sony and I have used Samsung when it performance Samsung phones win. But when it comes to reliability, hardware Sony phones more better built hardware and sensors then Samsung phones. In this world there is nothing for free what you pay is the build quality which you get.
You can have faster processors, bigger RAM but what is they use when the phone is overheating and drinking battery. Sometimes in life you can spend money on a Ferrari or Lamborghini when the engine and gear box does not last as long as Toyota or VW. This is the same thing with you are buying build quality not performance. Some of my Sony phones have five and a half years and I have not replaced the battery they are still kicking and running

Anonymous, 20 May 2021a52 is just off on some specifications, but not that signif... morei feel like the a52 is a slightly better deal cuz of the audio (unless you really want 24-bit/192kHz), soc, and memory, but for those who like the uninterrupted screen, clean UI, and other minor advantages of the xperia 10 III it's not a bad choice, especially with the free headphones deal.

Even 2015 flagship phones support 120Hz despite the animations only support upto 60Hz. OIS isn't a very useful feature unless your phone doesn't support any camera stabilization. So don't just look at on-paper specifications and come to conclusions

the only aspect that Xperia 1... morea52 is just off on some specifications, but not that significant for average users... just one tier below 10iii, but sure it adds up to the cost
talking about gorilla glass version, bluetooth, ip certification, surprisingly also on fast charging, 30watts is something new on xperia devices...
a52 though is better on paper, on the obvious ones, soc and memory configuration... that is what "most people" look at i guess... as the advantages on 10iii are usually overlooked

the only aspect that Xperia 10 III has an edge over competition is design language and ergonomics which are very attractive

Anonymous, 19 May 2021A52 is a very good phone with ip67. Camera has ois. I was only saying just compare the specs I wasn't pushing the phone or say buy it, I prefer Sony over Samsung any day
