I don't have any problems with BT (EU version 62.1.A.0.617)

I think should have the eyelets hole for handle strap and the width of this phone is 68mm, I think it should be go for a little larger 73mm. In this case, not need to wear any case.

Also, I'm not making my bread from promotions. I have this phone alongside with Honor, I love both of them. I spend $ 300 for this, not 400. As "open box".
Again, Camera quality isn't great, but,
It has enough strength to make book titles somehow readable from 4 meters away(night, room light), so it has almost a healthy eye strength. So I don't believe comparison with 15 yo feature phones 2mp camera. During daylight, it makes proof numbers on precious metals (even tiniest ones)clearly readable so... it's camera quality is good for me. Im not shooting night photos, so IDK, only thing that comes to defend Sony: no phone can create memorable photos during night.
Also, I don't exactly know what is handsfree, but Im listening music in Sonys wireless earbuds, without signal issues.
And lastly, 12MP cameras nowadays have only iPhones and Sony flagships, too strong competitors for 10mark3.
You can fix some of issues using third party apps like Gcam, Xperi+, ... There are discussions and tips here and on 4pda Xperia 10 mk3 pages (russian thread).
Again, im with you, it's software lacks many good things, and some good things on hardware, like stereo, fm radio, LCD screen ( yes, quality lcd has better picture sharpness, better readability and are more versatile then oled, so subjectively, I prefer them).
but man, it's still one of the best allarounder: has clean display, water resistancy, corning 6, 3.5, easly removable sdcard slot, quite capable & energy efficient cpu, quite lightweight, decent SOT. What more, it's from Japan universe.

however, all other things you describe... in my world my xperia 10 iii works just perfectly for my needs. I only wish, it could be as small as x compact without bezels.

I found its 12mp take... moreCompared to most phones with 12MP camera. It has some annoying delay when opened and trying to focus. The photos quality is awful when you zoom in even at daylight. If you take photos at night time - the quality is somewhat "twilight zone". Yes, it has a special "night" mode - but then you need to stay still for 4-5 seconds so it can take a better photo. Even with that - the quality is POOR. I'll put it this way: With my old 2MP single camera Sony-Ericsson dumbphone from 2008 - I was taking a better quality photos than this Sony with triple camera 12 MP.
Plus the giant SONY can't even afford to add some basic photo-editing tools in this expensive phone. Not they have their own weather widget, not they have the option to take screenshots triple-finger-slide down. Except the strong battery and the waterproof and 5G - this phone has nothing else good added.
Oh, almost forgot - it gives issues even when you connect your headphones - no matter wired or wireless. Annoying issue that gives me headaches every time I wanna use handsfree.
If you don't trust me, feel free to spend $400 to make sure. Either ways - good luck.

I found its 12mp takes little better photos than several reputable brands 48mp and while 10 III's software/hardware isn't polished many ways, still, overall, it is one of the best choice under $400(many reviews saying this)

Hi would people recommend the camera on this phone (I particularly like that it has the auto capture smile shutter feature great for children) or are the cameras on samsung s20 fe or samsung a53 better ? or are there better sony phones that have the smile shutter feature?Thanks

Can anybody finally confirm to have working FM radio... moreI'm looking for the same, but not in the US region. I thought Sony Xperia 10 iii or Xperia 10 iv might have an FM radio, but their tech support told me that it didn't have it.
I've asked Asus too about their Zenfone 8 ... FM Radio for that model is also region dependent. I'll let you know what they tell me (if they reply to my email or tweet - I tried both ways).
Both Xperia 10 iii/iv and the Zenfone 8 are very pricey but small and - at least in some regions - have an FM radio.
