Sales are also determined by how many phones are put out. They don't put out as many units and are still making a profit (which is what the goal is at the end of the day). If they can secure the bag, then the amount of sales doesn't really mean much.

Lol 370 euros for a 60Hz display,8mp front camera,low resolution rear camera and small internal storage. This phone should be priced between 150 to 200 dollars as there a lot of better deals out there for less than the price. But sony however did a good job by providing water resistance,a telephoto camera which is rare for most mid range smartphones,30W fast charging ,large battery capacity,HDR display and a reasonable screen size. Sony produces good phones but what they need to get right is the pricing.

Xiaomi`s 11 Lite may be cheaper and a bit faster, but MIUI is abysmal compared to Sony`s near Stock Android experience.
I got a Poco F3 and still regret it cos of the horrible Software.

Please, don't compare Sony with other brands, especially with disposable ones, cause their phones build is simply top, and UI is still snappy after many years.
Hardware is very impressive for such compact phone and price is unbelievably low(For Sony). Processor's power (antutu ~300k )is enough for non gamers.
For people who misses compact phones, this one is "must have".

Even a half baked xiaomi i have Mi 11 lite 5G which cost way less and offers way more is a lot beter device in every aspect.
1B colours is nice but human eye on such a small screen will not spot any difference between 1 million colours and 1 billion of colours its just a marketing gimmick.
IP 65 or 68 is also a marketing gimmick.
As long as company wont gives you 2 years of warranty for a whole device including water damage any IPXX rating is just a marketing gimmick making your phone much more expensive but giving nothing extra.
When it gets water damage and it can get water damage phone is dead.
Any case for just 5 bucks bought on alliexpress or wish site can give you water damage imunity so its a lot better solution than just water resistance where phone exposed to water for too long can die due to water damage.
GG6 wont come cheap but any book cover for 5 bucks does same trick for much less.
Rest is again marketing gimmick where most customers pay for brand not for specs.
Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Meizu, Doogee, Cubot, Oukitel ad many else brands can make 10 times better, faster and much more specced device for same or simmilar price.

joe nodden, 20 Aug 2021"maybe a little underpowered" "the A52 is... moreI have used sony xperiae3 which was great at its time not for specs just the ui was super clean,z3 compact which was a letdown and xz1 which was the best phone i have ever used in my entire life except the battery i loved every sony phones now i am using a poco f3 cause sony is too expensive but i would say even through sony is not value for money the phones are super smooth to use even after 4-5 years same performance on my xz1 and the ui is better than cheap xiaomi or realme phones which are super overrated ui is messed up phones get slowed down after updates even samsung does that i just want to say even if the specs are not good sony phones are my favorite forever they lasts longer than anything i have ever seen realme 8 is completely filled with bloatwares but think about it sony dosent do any cost cutting like most of the phone in that budget segment does and these days sony phones are getting a lot better in my opinion the software is great and the best thing is displays dosent have any chin or bazzels these days like older sony phones had and the phones edges are not reound shaped like most of the phone these days are my grandomother still has a xa2 ultra the display is 60 hz and my phones display is 120 hz still looking so smooth in my eyes sony just makes phone great but dosent want people to buy their phones much but if you use a sony phone it can even last longer than iphones
