They are already testing an Xperia phone with Dimensity 8000, maybe that will be the Xperia 10 V? If that so, it will be a huge improvement.

Sony uses stock android but has very great features even better than many popular brands like smart call handling, side sense shortcut, music Pro, cinema Pro, dynamic vibration, best of design, no notches, ip65 and ip68 but please use a better chipset for this phone, the music pro, cinema pro, dynamic vibration for me playing music, speaker quality and I'm not saying google is better than Sony but please just treat this phone and give it features like pixel 6a. And I have been using huawei nova 9 and this phone and sony experience was far better than the Huawei. But please sony please create a user interface as before. Even if you don't want to integrate bloatware please bring back the sony app store for downloading apps, because I don't see why I shouldn't abandon this phone and go to Google because everything the same ;homescreen, control center, same apps just few apps offered by Sony and this is pushing me away from Sony and I'm sure also other sony users too. I had a friend who abandoned sony and went to xiaomi, and also please put down the price of flagship 5,1,pro series because there are other phones people would want to have lower than this price like the asus zenfone 9 and many others

I wanted to finally sell my S10e and get the 10 IV for that superb battery life - unfortunately i can't give up on stereo speakers, they are way too good to let them go, even in exchange of 2x better battery life.

I'm already pissed enough as it is that they burn SW developer capacity to things like the useless news app, rather than polishing the OS or the camera app. I also like and appreciate the stock android look, would not want them to customize it more. If you want your phone to look different just install a custom launcher.

I am a sony user and I was using the xz3 and I was looking for an up to date sony software for an affordable price but sony sucks when it comes to pricing I expected the 5 iv to be below $750 but its instead more expensive than the 1 iv so I just got the 10 iv it's cool but no stereo speakers, no dynamic vibration, no camera shutter button and lacks other features. The only thing this phone is better than the xz3 is its performance and updated software. Please sony I was willing to get 5iv even for $600 but its overpriced than other compact phones. Now I think the U. I doesn't make sense just stock android and every new sony phone I get, some great sony software apps are missing. I don't like the fact sony is over using stock android please work on phone FEATURES of midrange like xperia 10 iv ,PRICE, User Interface and marketing . Sony was growing at first but I don't know what is wrong now. Sony is now going down and I'm thinking of switching to Samsung next year

Also whats wrong with white sticker on back? Phone sold in europe had paper sticker whick left sticker shape lighter mark on back...

Even the 10 III has storage that is sufficiently fast, and while a better chipset would be nice, it is sufficient for me. Still, I hardly believe there won't be an improvement in next year's model.

Man, I hope the next iteration of this phone will have stereo speakers. That's basically all it needs. Maybe a camera that's a little better, too.

ive been reading all the reviews on here and youtube and finnali decided tobuy this for the battery life...
ive never been experiencing any problem with it and the 60hz screen has never been slow or feelinf laggy
the battery life is amazing ive never used a smartphone like this
the responsiveness is what you need!
it feels small and easy to hold and use and in 2 months of usage i am really in love with it
though sony could have implement the double tap to wake option

Lemmy: it's normal, the phone only have always-on-display during charging (shows time and date), if you enable it in the settings. notification LED is what you have to live with, at least its RGB.

hi, I just got this handset. I'm not getting any "pop up" notifications lighting up the display when the screen is off...is this normal? my last two android phones had this feature.. LED notification works fine though..
