There is only one thing that makes this worse than it's predecessor the 10 III, this model has USB-C (2.0), where the 10 III had USB-C (3.1).

I would buy this right away, the long-lasting battery, notification Led and small size are especially tempting to me, but what's Holding me Back still is the quality of speaker...as GSM Arena pointed out, the Volume is under average...listening to Music is Not that important to me, but making or receiving Phone calls and Hearing the Other person loud and clear even in crowded areas with noise, that is a absolute necessity for me.

I just did a battery test from 100% to 5%. Used the brightness very conservatively. I used it for uber/instacart/doordash gig work and lots of google maps/navigation. I got 847 mins. Which is 14 hours and 7 mins. This was over the course of 3 days. I did turn the phone off when I wasnt doing the gig work since I only use it for that.

For me a solid battery life is a must in a phone, and efter owning a Lenovo P2 and a Samsung M30s, this seems as the telephone to own! But i wonder if this phone can be suffecient for the coming 2-3 years with it's modest processor? And in Sweden it's sold for 330$ including Sony's bluetooth set WH-XB910N (worth about 150$), does it seem priceworthy? And can this phone play 4k, f. ex. on Youtube?

Got phone 5th July 2022 at £429.00 now find its priced at £349.00 very sore about paying nearly £80 over the odds. Phone is great however good battery life good for filming and photographs and in lower light plus its lightweight.
Sony did good job would have preferred faster processer and refresh rate but still a good phone.

PeterM, 26 Aug 2022so far I'm quite satisfied. really depends on what you... more"...when you look at the battery life, IP68 rating, Gorilla glass Victus, build quality, audio jack, micro SD, compact size, you start to see the value." I agree. Also, I've used phones with slower chipsets in the past (under the Android One program) and I still use them today as backup devices. Surprisingly, they work well after resetting them to their defaults. Taking all of these into consideration, I am positive that the Xperia 10 IV will perform just fine.

I am also looking at the Pixel 5A. After comparing it with the Xperia 10 IV, the performance of the Snapdragon 695 is comparable and in some cases, better than 5A's 765G!
SD 695 is the clear winner because of the power efficiency over the Pixel 5A's processor.

For example google wallet, if I open the app as I touch the phone over the terminal, the payment goes through before the GUI loads. Also theres a noticable stutter in the screen unlock animation, altho that seems to have improved since todays update.

PeterM, 24 Aug 2022If you charge fully, and dont play on it all day, it can la... moreGood to know. This would be my next phone. I don't care much on camera and the lack of 4k video recording because I found myself recording often at 1080p with my current device (Mi 10T Pro) that is capable of 8k recording because it eats a lot of storage space and overheats a lot.

I am switching from Mi to Nokia because the Xperia 10 IV has a near-stock OS, compact design, super long battery life, and 3.5mm audio jack.

How about the performance? Do you experience any annoying lags when using common apps like Gmail, camera app, or Messenger?
