Anonymous, 07 Apr 2023Well if photography is what your after, then Pixel 6a. But ... moreAlso, if you're fussy about the software updates you might want to choose Pixel instead. Currently I believe Xperia 10 series will only get 2 Android upgrades (14 is the last one) and 3 years of security patches.

However, Sony's phones are always more durable than Google's. My XA2 lasts 5 years without any issues before replacing it with 10 IV...

Great small device, the only problem is it's aggressive battery/RAM saving which closes apps quite quickly when switching. Often you buy something in browser, go to your bank app to approce the purchase and in the meantime the browser closes, cancelling the purchase.

Other than that the cameras are quite good and with Gcam can provide great looking images (some tinkering required). CPU is plenty powerful for daily use and light gaming.

Battery Life is superb on the Xperia though. The problem is mainly the garbage soc SD695 that is locked to only record/play to 1080p 30fps.

Well if the pricing is right for either phones. then it's upto you.

Has a... moreOfc it supposed HD sound with Bluetooth headphones.. if you buy Sony's(but in past few months even tws of other manufacturer's, under 100$ support LDAC) headsets, personally recommend on or over ear models for superior experience. Personally using WH-H800 with support even for atpX HD, but one's set ldac codec will realize no going back (subjective ofc)
If you choose that form of HS buy some model from Sony, if you are into 360 reality audio. Pay attention that they have 3.5mm input because benefits are awesome.

I rock the 10 iii now and i really like it. Compact and like how i can use it with one hand only. The only downside i noticed is the signal is a bit weaker but acceptable. I wonder how the signal is with the 10 iv, anyone would share the experience? It will be on sale this week for 289$ and i would like to get it. Appreciate everyone who owns the 10 iv for suggestions and some pros and cons.

Better CPU than predecessor(III) and no 4k video recording. Artificially blocked 4k video recording. Scam in plain sight. Why did you look the other way?
