That's 8+ Gen 1... moreTo get 8+ Gen 1 or Dimensity 8300 or this price point, you have to pick a chinese phone, handicap firmware, poor update policy, backdoor for chinese government, hidden corners cutting, may be some are okay with it but not my cup of tea, for the same price u got A35 from Samsung, slightly faster SoC (Exynos 1380) but not a really big difference, and a much larger form factor, they dont really compete directly (Samsung got better update policy though)

Even if camera and battery are worse on sony, which they're not. I would still chose Xperia.
200 euro difference can be also seen in quality of the phone.
No bloatware on sony, better software support. Near stock android, no spyware.

But it's much bigger, no IP68, way worse battery life, no microSD card slot... it's like comparing apples and oranges. That's why if I had to choose from both, I would choose the 10 VI - because the latter set of features I've mentioned is much more important to me than the first one, and from the comments below, clearly I'm not alone on this.
