Sony fan, 06 Jun 2024I need a smartphone from Sony that would work for 15-20 yearsI still have Xperia SP (2013) and XA2 (2018) alive and kicking (sort of)... Now checking to see what could be my next Xperia. Sadly no more notification LED and FM radio on Xperia 10 (V/VI), if it had, it would be great phone for my needs.

If you value compact size, lightness and having an headphone jack, go for the 10 VI; If you're more focused on performance, obviously go for the A55.

Just preordered this guy last weekend. My rational side tried to dissuade me (because my 5-year old Samsung Galaxy A40 is pretty much rockin', although slow - and the volume down button rarely works now), but in the end it lost to its more impulsive counterpart. By preordering it at least I can get the free bluetooth headphones (which is quite ironic, given that the headphone jack is one of the 10 VI's key selling points), making it a little less expensive. I'd much prefer getting a free case and/or a charger + cable, but Sony isn't interested in that... nevertheless, I have high expectations on this phone, it certainly isn't perfect, I'll miss my A40's FM radio and more compact size, but I expect great battery life, bulld / sound quality and extended software updates (and this way I can make a smooth transition between my A40 and the 10 VI)
