My opinion? Sony is closing its mobiles department soon . let me explain:
1. It's flagships have great built and battered BUT can't compete with other flagships, especially in camera and A.I department, plus they are too expensive.
2. The Xperia 5 series have been cancelled..
3. Sony does not care about the Xperia 10 series: I had to sell my Xperia 10 vi because the video stabilisation was very choppy, like 30% stable, but after 2-3 months or so they released an update which made stabilisation good for up to 70% maybe? I still have the Xperia 10 v mainly due to the telephoto camera which the Xperia 10 vi lacks.. The 10 v has not seen an update for more than 3 months, not even security patches. The good thing with the Xperia 10 series is that you can easily import a gcam which does wonders for camera, but still, video recording in general is very average, and useless at night, which also goes for the Xperia 1 series ..
I BELIEVE WE WILL NOT GO UP TO HAVING AN XPERIA 1 X (10), Sony will follow the LG path and it's sad.. I used to have all Sony Xperia 5 flagships but stopped on th Xperia 5 iv due to overheating. Am a Pixel boy now, even if they have stupid issues with notifications, 5g network etc

I guess the mark 10 models are too cheap for timely updates .-.

I don't get why the newer phone Xperia 10 vi does not have android 15 update in the UK yet, but older Xperia 5 v phone does.

Just because luckily you don't have any issue with your phone doesn't mean other people don't.

For me, the camera is great with gcam. I'd say my only complaint would be the 60hz refresh rate.

Sony should add these things to justify the price:
                -add side camera button
                -turn back the led indicator
                -put chip equal to sd778g
                -improve the camera

if it is flip-able, i mean at this size and shape, meanwhile keep everything, would be perfect to me.

I'm interested in this model to buy because of 3,5mm jack, dedicated microSD slot, and eSIM as price is under 300 € in Germany for some time.
Sony market it as "high-quality sound with either wired or wireless headphones".
In the specs: "Hi-Resolution Audio, Hi-Resolution Audio Wireless (LDAC)".

And yet, 3.5mm jack has SNR: 80.3 dBFS. What's the point if it's worse than properly implemented ~10€/$ CX31993 based USB-C DAC dongle :/?

Edd, 03 Jan 2025People say the white and blue ones have better grip. And why is that, something different
compared to the black version in the coating or what?

aeg, 03 Jan 2025Is this phone slippery?Almost all phones are slippy nowadays due to size being huge and doesn't fit on hand well.
I suppose this phone is somewhat better on that aspect as it's narrower than typical devices.

Doesn't sound much to me either tho at least, they've got some decent cameras in compact design.
Speaking of card slot and jack, some other phones still have them; therefore, it ain't special deal with sony either.

Either way, having experience with diff brands; honestly, I can't say which one works better or worse; it's always up to my personal preference.

I think Sony phones have good quality, but I don't think it's worth the price, which is a personal opinion; however, the number also speaks itself that a lot of people also don't think it's worth the price (not necessarily their opinion is correct or wrong).
