It is impossible to unlock bootloader on Japanese variants unless you pay for it. I personally didn't do it because it was not worth it.
Don't buy japanese version if you want to use 5g
anything but that, Samsung lacks hardware features SONY users want either get Xiaomi, Azus or ZTE flagships. Unfortunately you get the ugly hole in the display on most of those except ZTE at the cost of camera quality
