Samsung/Apple sell more because they have persuasive advertising, have alot of money to spend on advertising. Sony on the other hand does not advertise as much. Just because something sells well does not mean its good. Samsung is plagued with issues like the overheating exynos chip and camera auto focus issues. Even IPhone has tons of issues thats being put under the carpet because they are rich companies.
Needless people will soon understand those companies are after money and greed. They are removing features and charging hefty price tags. The tables will turn its a matter of time.

Iv u... moreI mean that's not exactly accurate at all, if Samsung and Apple phones are only used by non-serious people, it doesn't explain why they're used by a lot of business men/women. The success of the Note series lineup itself is down to the popularity it has amongst professionals of varying backgrounds. As for iPhones, those tend to be quite expensive and not really affordable for "kids", unless they have rich parents. Sony make great phones, but they're missing out on the key reasons why other brands are selling phones better than them.

It is about purpose and unique features which make them stand out from rest of the average user products. Ferrari and Lamborghini are not unique for their Engines. They are unique in terms of everything including design which is different from normal cars.a

All unique pro... morebut there are "more" expensive and "exclusive" products such as high end iphones or samsung and those have high sales. Compared to these, this phone's price would be considered "mainstream/higher" though to me everything above 300 euros is expensive.
That said I'm still sad they didn't release "smaller than 15 cm" phone this year :(

Also, Samsung and Iphone can change screen settings to natural colours, if you oversaturated annoys you. Please do your research before embarrassing yourself here.

i know he or she is out of reasoning... i mean... yes of course those are sony fans... that is why it is called "top 10 by fans" and i got bored answering back...
the rest of the top 10 does not even breached 1000 "fan tags"...
at least sony xperia 1ii retires with more than 1000 "fan tags"...
but to compare it to z series before, those even have more than 2000 "fan tags"...
having this much is good whether it is from long time xperia fans or not, since not all xperia fans want everything sony has released... like me... i dont prefer the x series and xz series (i only have xz2 compact on that series, since i have to put less stress on my aging z1 compact)...
and literally, i have not clicked "become a fan" on this phone yet...

One of the many reasons why Sony phones are NOT popular.Thats according to you, We don't need oversaturated photos with extreme processing and sharpening like Samdung and IJunk. So we will continue to use Sony. The camerapro app helps to tweak settings like no other phone can.

Why are people so overly obsessed with phone cameras these days. I would get this phone solely because it misses nothing. Has good camera, even if you have to fiddle with it a bit. Has SD Card slot, has 3,5 mm jack. everything there. NFC, no notch and wireless charging, and last but not least best chipset availiable at that time. this is what i look for in a phone. long time i could buy galaxy note phones for that, but not anymore, so its sony for me
