Hi guys, I am facing a faster battery drain from the last update anyone else facing the same issue. Please let me know my phone is unlocked with O2 sim.
If you can let me know if there is a way to minimise batter darin it would be very helpful

First, this phone is considered one of the biggest upgrades to its predecessor (OG Xperia 1) compared to others, as it has some features we loved previously, features that made a return, a signature industrial design, and also features that are exclusive to 1 II and some on its smaller sibling, 5 II, like the 21:9 aspect ratio, Photo Pro & Cinema Pro that makes you control and dialed the camera instead of the software, tool-less SIM-MicroSD slot (4K OLED HDR is exclusive to 1 II and 120Hz to Xperia 5 II). 21:9 is useful when you're watching a film and doing multitasking two apps at the same time without sacrificing the app's screen estate (each one).
Secondly, Sony made this phone such a niche but also considerable. This particular perspective is something that not all OEMs nowadays have like used to from 4-5 years ago, like 3.5mm headphone jack, dual-firing stereo speakers, camera button, MicroSDXC slot, etc. Then vanilla Android UI + Sony apps, unify color choice, optimized software & RAM management, unlocked bootloader, etc, already made it obvious why Xperia 1 II was a fan-favorite instantly and received 1162+ fans. If that's not enough, that I don't which one you don't understand.

I've got some more bugs listed in a later... morereally? my fellow users in an fb group reports no big issue... but also advised to reset fresh just in case...
i am still on android 10, no issues so far...
be waiting for more feedback on reddit and from the group... then update it after a week... i want those new features on android 11...

Android 11 is buggy on this phone.
Satellite navigation stops working on a random basis resulting in constant lock failures in Maps, the Recent Apps (multitasking) swipe fails randomly with the apps closing instead of displaying the picker, Bluetooth car integration breaks resulting in all calls in and out closing immediately, double notification icons on the AOD, occasional random app crashes, odd random battery drain that's not recorded in the battery history and camera focusing issues where it looks right in the preview but comes out blurry - particularly bad if you try to use an in-app picture taking option.
I'm restarting this phone more than I've had to on anything I've owned for years - very poor overall.

and if they are talking about aspect ratio, as if 21:9 is far stretched from 20:9, 20.5:9 19:9... though sony also tried 18:9, it is just "logical" they go for 21:9 as it is a content standard... some movies i have are on that ratio...
what should be appreciated by everyone is that we have choices...

That means for one specific YouTube video, or one specific on-screen keyboard, in Portrait mode, it has bascially the SAME SIZE on all these devices mentioned above.
Thus your last argument applies to all these devices. Last time I checked (using the phone finder on this website), there are 1119 phones within that 68mm~72mm width range.
You should talk with iPhone X/XS/11 Pro/12/12 Pro users, Samsung Galaxy S7/S8/S9/S10/S20/S21/Note 10 users and Huawei P20/P30/P40 users about how inconvenient their phones are.

And t... morei have this... and it is somehow a sweet spot... it is a good sign that still, many people want an aspect ratio following content standard (i have collection of movies with that aspect ratio, used to play on z5 premium so i got black bars on that but not on 1ii), notchless, no punched holes, bezel is quite small for my handling since i use z5 premium... oh and a 3.5mm audio jack, yet an excellent software for wireless audio like the dsee... there are many things to love about this phone, i tell you... only bashers and "fanboys" of other brands hate it...

Of course expensive but way better than shamesong, pineapple and chinese aftermarket phones. (Xiaomi, oppo, realme, zte etc)

It helps with one-handed usage and is comfortable to hold unlike most phones nowadays. Who cares how videos look in portrait mode when most of the time you watch in landscape.

Taller than the galaxy note 10 plus, what a disgrace. And the screen area is still tiny. How did this junk device get so many favorites. I bet those of you who own this never compared how small youtube videos and your keyboard looks in portrait mode, or keep juggling between portrait and landscape like it's a normal inconvenience of smartphone usage (it's not for the rest of us).
