When SONY does wrong we burn it up like hell. Like for example at release of XPERIA XZ2 and XZ3 we did not support it blindly and recommended OnePlus offering over SONY as there were too many flaws with it. But when people like to argue that there was a better smartphone than XZ Premium in 2017 then we definitely are not going to accept and will surely argue over it.

    When it comes to TV let it be OLED or LED SONY is the best for visual quality and that my friend is the sad part specially for LED market. SONY is definitely better than its competition when it comes to providing visual experience. But because of that lack of competition SONY did the worst thing a brand could do. In 2016 it released best LED TV till date(yes even after full 4Yrs) for visual experience which was Z9D, then as the competition SAMSUNG QLED is far behind they released cut down version of it in 2017 which also extremely decent and second best TV(only next to Z9D) at that time. Guess SONY dint stop there after that they released even worse cut down model the next year and so on. Sadly even with that much of a cut down model still SONY has best picture quality out of the three. So, if you think we support these kind of tactics from SONY then you are wrong.
    Before people say LG and SAMSUNG are better, I would like to make it clear that SONY is better than them for visual quality which is most natural and accurate colors without any saturation and best lossless shadow detail showing us every little detail as it was meant to be whereas the competition lacks in that area and best up-scaling in the industry, while LG and SAMSUNG are better for gaming(at which they both destroy SONY specially LG with its OLED lineup).

    When it comes to Laptops the one brand which consistently takes top place in all segments is DELL followed by ASUS. Lenovo besides Think-Pad series I don't even consider them. But for that we have DELL Latitude.

    Smartphones Apple for people who are used to iOS and have no hate against them as I know how good reliable and smooth experience it is even over extremely long period of time. In Android one brand which truly gives that smooth reliable and smooth experience is SONY. I am not against other brands as lot many people in my friends and family circle(85-90%) use android phones and from many different brands but when it comes to reliable and smooth usage over extremely long period of time SONY is way ahead of competition. OnePlus gets second place followed by Xiaomi and OPPO while SAMSUNG besides one or two models in past few years is out of question as they were the most unreliable phones as many of my friends who purchased SAMSUNG S series and few Note series had their phones end up at service center with mostly battery issues and even display and memory issues. Now even though SAMSUNG S series is still unable to solve the lag issues it had for generations but it has become much more reliable with batteries and displays in past two-three iterations.

    We don't blindly support any single brand as no brand is perfect. When a brand does a great job with its product we support it at the same time if it screws up we roast it like we did with SONY for TVs or for XZ2 and XZ3.

It bested almost all other tvs on the market. I own sony noise cancelling headphones because they are top rated by not one, but several reviewers and almost unanimously found as the best possible noise cancelling headphones. They constantly get put on top spots for DSLR cameras and mirrorless. Playstation, you already answered that for me. You are absolutely clueless to the acheivements of Sony. If you rip on the sales of the phones or the lack of camera software for them, you are absolutely right.

            Stop defending Sony. It has been losing and losing because they don't afford competitive smartphones, they left middle east, China and some asian markets because their sales DID suck. They are about to leave USA as well.

            It's a simple fact:
            Sony = Playstation only. It is as fact as that LG = TV Only.

            you want a smartphone that gets your jobs done, then you have: Smartisan, Samsung, OnePlus, Apple, Xiaomi.

            You want a gaming console that satisfies your desire, then you have: Sony and Nintendo only.

            You seek a perfect TV, then you have LG and Samsung only.

            You look for a worthy gaming laptop, then you have Asus and Dell's Alienware only.

            You want a business laptop, then you have Lenovo, Microsoft, Apple and Dell only.

For example: My brother has used Oppo, Vivo, Realme in past 4-5 years ( All costs between 300$ - 400$). The thing is, you must/have to buy new mobiles when you use low end spec mobiles to meet today's standard. I myself using and feel SD810 (then flagship) is mediocre compared to today's SD700 processors. I highly doubt anyone would use SD700 from 2015 till this date lol.

              Also yes they buy mid range mobiles because they can't afford it at that point of time :). That doesn't stop them buying the similar mobile for every 2 years.

              Unlike my brother, I personally always aim for the best and keep it for morethan 3 years minimum (My current one is almost 4 years). Design, decent natural camera, premium feel, durability and an all-round perfromance is all what I need. Xperia 1 II perfectly meet this. On top of that I watch lot of content like videos/movies (4K is perfect for me).

                    - Motionblur reduction (90Hz equivalent)
                    - 4000mah
                    - power button as fingerprint scanner


                    People have no problem with gimmicky 120Hz (u can't use QHD with this setting) and 108 MP (pixel binning to 12MP) and easily pay for 1500€ (with exynos lmao). No thanks. You can keep your S20 in your pocket. You just wasted your money on useless product.


                    PS: Last year 6GB Xperia and iPhone performed onpar with 12GB ram samsung and OnePlus in speed test. This also proves how crap Samsung and OP ram management is. Anything over 8GB ram is nonsense (even with 3 chrome tabs open). Over 12Gb is stupidity and where Mr.Silly lives

                          But still, generalization a choice/taste/option of someone on something shouldn't be a thing, to be honest. In sociology, generalization could be a potential of social frustration and conflict, as the one being generalized feels not fitted in one group. It's like forcing everyone to go to the capital city for a better living than spreading through another city or village that still needs development. Same as phone and other sectors.

                          Besides, Xperia 1 II is only a few phones to ever managed to put all essential things in one package that people desired without too much or barely any frills (features such as no-notch / punch-hole display, 3.5mm headphone jack, big battery, flagship chipset, versatile cameras, stereo speakers, and with 5G as additional for this year, and so on). The only other phones I know ever managed to do this is the 2018 Samsung Galaxy Note9 and the Asus Zenfone 6 (2019). IDK if we're able to see this again in late 2020 or even 2021...

                          Except Zenfone 6, the all-rounder flagship phone started at a high price standard (I could be wrong, but this what I acknowledged at this point)

                            these ppl tell me this phone is UHD 21:9 lol. and then i was explaining no uhd 21:9 is wider and bigger than UHD 16:9 not smaller!

                            anyway except the imax crop movies that don't fit on this screen, ALL and any TV Series are also full crop 16:9 so none of them either are displayed on it 1:1 lol and all are down scaled to around QHD! and all of our own camera recordings same are 16:9 full crop and again non of them fit on this screen 1:1 . even same for sony cameras! so in the end we have a 4k screen that is more QHD than anything else in the works! that's why i say i care for display standards not just naming sake like 4k or else.

                            so screen doesn't give full UHD experience since it's not a UHD screen. that's all. using 4k name is kinna tricky as first thing that 4k resembles is uhd which in this screen is not the case. it's not wrong doing on paper! but looking at the market that knows uhd as 4k it resembles that.

                            if we had a simple 16:9 UHD screen on this phone it would give full UHD experience for all and any content without needs of any hype . speaking of why standards matter.

What good is 12GB or even 16GB RAM if the software is not well optimized to utilize it perfectly and get delayed transition or stutter.

                              Price, I completely agree it is bit over priced. I am ready to pay for it but not wholeheartedly. We don't have much option here as rest of the offerings from other brands are not as good as this.
                              Apple again ruined consumers with high priced models. Hate Apple for that.

                                1200 euro for an xperia?
                                Better buy galaxy, it's the safest and best option.

                                  As I am already complaining.
                                  Xperia 1mkII is too expensive, just as all other flagship phones. And there is quite an obvious reason behind it... one of them being unlogical unecessary amount of excessive RAM, that is put inside phones just as a marketing selling point, without any justifiable reason to end user experience benefit.
                                  And I am sure Sony will out a 12 gb ram phone, not because it is actually needed in any foreseable future, but only because global phone market rules force them.
                                  And will be even more expensive...

                                  But Sony makes the only flagship model phones today I myself consider the most complete smartphone solutions. So Im forced, in a way, to pay up for it, when a new phone will be needed.

If you think I am not making any sense, look back to previous implementations. Since the days of SD 820 SAMSUNG and OnePlus always had more Memory than SONY but how it was implemented and utilized is questionable. Even with lesser memory SONY always had better management than SAMSUNG and even OnePlus. We are not saying 12GB is pointless, we are saying that if not implemented and utilized correctly then why even provide 12GB.
