Fearghast, 28 Jul 2020Only Samsung uses Exynos (99,9%), so who cares? This is the point to which I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Fearghast, 27 Jul 2020I would say that group is even bigger, more like 100-100000... more1GB RAM 8GB ROM. That was spec of the oldest Android device we purchased 10Yrs ago. Do low end still have that bad specs. I don't think anything of latest gen even on the lowest end has that bad specs now. Minimum is 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM.
I miss the days when SAMSUNG used to produce legends and now it got reduced to crap. Bring back S2 and S3 quality. Presently if I had to recommend low end to mid-range it will be Xiaomi, ASUS, Realme and Vivo followed by LG, SAMSUNG, Motorola and NOKIA. High end SONY or Apple and if SONY delivers crap(like Z2, X, XZ2, XZ3) and one is in search for Android Flagship I recommend One+ and not SAMSUNG(never would I recommend SASMUNG Flagship to anyone after the pain we had to go through and multiple visits to Service Center I have seen my friends(multiple) smash the phone and purchase low end Xiaomi).
Low-Midrange phones (Low is around $150-250 and Mid is around $250-450) mostly end up being swapped in a year or two. I don't care which brand they choose.

XDA's noticed the latest update is rolling out RAW Support!!

You should know when Sony roles out an update it's from Sony>Telco>OTA. So if you don't see the update - it'll most likely be the Region or Telco.

                That's just laughable.

Fearghast, 27 Jul 2020Is there RAW support for all three lenses? From what I have seen, yes for all lenses. But you can't use HDR and continuous in Raw support but can be used with DRO people say. People from UK confirmed it.

PS: I live in Germany, I still haven't received any update. Same goes for Norway. Guess they are releasing in batches.

I have friends and family members who use smartphones from all the listed brands. Majority being Xaomi followed by One+ and then Vivo, ASUS and SAMSUNG. Few use HTC, LG and Lenovo. This is excluding Apple and SONY crowd. Worst experience being SAMSUNG as many who purchased S6 to S8 got cursed and majority of them ended up swapping the phone in less than a year. Xiaomi, ASUS and Vivo too gets replaced in a year or two but what you get for budget is far superior to what SAMSUNG has to offer. One+ is reliable and lasts good 2Yrs+. HTC and LG are good as long as they last and then they fail suddenly. Apple and SONY phones being used last very long like good 4-5Yrs before being replaced.

This is lets say how it has been rolling for a group of 80-100 people around me.

Customs is calculated and charged before-hand. So you will be spending total to get it delivered to your door instead of Paying to get Customs Clearance at delivery. Either-way you will be spending good 75-85,000 after discount.

If you have any relatives or friends living abroad get it through them and pay them what ever it costed them and it will be 55-65,000. You will be saving good 20-30,000.

The point I made was that even the Mid-range XPERIA phone with SD665 will remain lag free over longer period of time in comparison to Flagship phones having SD865 from its Competitors .
