But, if the selfie's camera, i cannot say anything.
Maybe this is good point for Sony, to read.

Very difficult to import content from previous. No photo album like old Sony's. So far extremely disappointed

Google chrome facebook, messenger, viber, whats app, instagram, twitter etc are full of adds.
No matter how premium your device is.
The only one exception are phones without internet and wifi.

And autoHDR in PhotoPro, as seen by samples from tests, is even better in processing than what iphone does with its autoHDR.
So I was jusy wondering about that...
So, no access to autoHDR option in Auto mode?
You have to use other manual modes for it to be available?

weirdly enough i rarely seen reviewers mentioned those ads also, perhaps they also got paid from the vendor not to mention it
maybe that's why sony is more expensive than those chinese phones, they didn't put ads on their phone, so is it overprice? i don't know. maybe sony should just put ads on their phone like those chinese phones so their price could be a lot cheaper...

The quality is on par with 3-5 yo flagships ... and I do not mind at all, wide and ultrawide on back FTW.

Anonymous, 13 Jul 2020Hearing lots of criticism about the front camera, are they true ?Front cam in daylight is actually good, not bad as people/reviewers are complaining. Low light is where I feel front cam is bit too soft for my taste (Even after turning off soft skin effect). But I found alternative solution where you can go into portrait mode and then keeping everything in zero (Blur, Skin effect, Skin brightness all to zero), completely removes the remaining soft effect. It works.
TL;DR: You need good lighting for good selfies

There are people who complain about this in twitter all day. That's itself a big no go for me. At this point I only see Apple, Sony and LG as premium brands.

These being down-scaled look good so how about the true output of the camera. Drop some HDR 4K images and that will show how superior the XPERIA 1 II camera is.

If yes, it would be case solved for many people.

Anonymous, 13 Jul 2020Hearing lots of criticism about the front camera, are they true ?XPERIA 1 II has the best camera setup of any smartphone 2020. Only thing is that SONY is giving the complete control in our hand and lets us decide what kind of pic we want to capture. People say iPhone, Pixel, Galaxy and One+ does great processing of their images well SONY can mimic all of that perfectly but wait it doesn't stop there as it does lot more than what the other Cameras are capable of. People are in misconception that using or downloading Pro camera apps on other phones can achieve what XPERIA 1 II is capable of which is sadly no where near the fact that it is the Sensor which makes the camera special. That large 12MP sensor is more than enough for 4K and having having larger pixel size helps capture more light and detail which smaller sensors or even similarly sized sensors with much greater pixel count cannot. If any one tries to tell you that no one will use Pro apps then they are clearly wrong as 90%+ people purchasing this phone will use the Pro apps.
Unless one is into 8K which I don't get the reason at this point of time as it is at-least 3Yrs too soon for 8K screens to become available at meaningful price for consumers.

I had several Sonys and they are worse than Samsung, Pixel or some Chinese brands, but still much more expensive. My Pixel 2xl front camera is still better then last Sonys flagships. I know fans will argue, but its true, Sony sucks at photos. Thats really strange, they should fire software developers for camera.
