bbl, 08 Jul 2020Can someone tell me who had or has xz premium is it worth t... moreI had an XZ Premium, great phone that I still love today (probably one of the best of its generation), and just got the 1 II this week.
The 1 Mk II is better in every way in my opinion. Audio is great, design is superb and the camera quality from the XZP is not even close to the 1 II.
Not to mention the screen with its motion blur reduction that doesn't look bad at all.
This is definitely a step up from the XZP.

bbl, 08 Jul 2020Can someone tell me who had or has xz premium is it worth t... moreDepends. Don't get this phone if:
- The selfie cam is important
- You want the "best" camera for 1000€+ (or if zoom is important; this camera is still good)
- You search for high battery life + fast charging (the battery life of this phone is okay, but "okay" for a flagship...?)
- You need high refresh rates (imo overrated though)
- You want the best performance (for games etc.)
- You need 6.7"+ screens
Pro's: - For a classic allrounder with good stereo speakers, 24kHz audio quality (there's phones with 32kHz though, however the difference is not extreme imo; if you get it activate Dolby Atmos), SD 865. 8GB RAM, good colours, acceptable battery life, microSD slot etc.
Many phones miss many features of this phone. But you should think about if you ACTUALLY need them...
- Thin design, less weight than other phones (ONLY WORTH IT IF YOU PLAN ON NOT USING A CASE)
- Allrounder camera, even if it isn't the best out there (will be solid though)
- Maybe you like bezels? Actually looks nice from the front
Alternatives are: - Oppo Find X2 Pro (better display, camera)
- Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro (better camera, stereo, battery and performance, but no IP68)
- Huawei P40 Pro (monster, but no Google apps (except if you want to take the risk...))
- S20 Ultra for selfie camera
- OnePlus 8 Pro for software and a nice allrounder, but also with some unoptimized areas...
- Wait for Note 20+ or Mate 40 Pro?

This is why lg and sony deserve to be bankrupt in mobile industry. Apple and sammy offer small, med, and large size. Not every like big and long phone! If i cant put in my pocket sitting down, the phone is a deal breaker.

Fearghast, 05 Jul 2020I am exaggerating :D I typed Xperia 5 is not comfortable in... moreBlamed all smartphone maker companies who started doing bezel-less but also stretching the aspect ratio beyond 16:9 and expanding phone dimensions in the first place simultaneously, and oh, now look, we're in 20s:9 aspect ratio smartphone territory this moment and no going back again to good old 16:9, and Sony is forced in this situation.
And Sony decided to settle with 21:9 because it's an industry-standard aspect ratio (considering Sony deep-background on the multimedia industry), while the ratio between 16:9 to 21:9 is NOT. 😕

it's not sony fault if you're dumb enough to unable read the spec sheet

Zalias, 29 Jun 2020Usually au is the cheaper provider. This explains why it's ... moreHey Zalias,
Could you tell which shops in Akihabara you saw the International Xperia 1 II? Does it cover all the 4G/5G bands used here in Japan?
Did you buy one or did you go with au/docomo?
I'm thinking about buying one, but I don't want au/docomo due to the bloatware and possibly the locked bootloader (bad experience with an au/KDDI Samsung Galaxy s3 in the past).
Or an LG V60. I'm considering both options, but the Xperia has me most intrigued.
Cheers, mate.
