They use it to compare to the aparture of other phones. A lot of people here understand this since this phone is targeting those advanced to pro photographers as sony is or is one of the leading maker of cameras as of today.

suru, 23 Jun 2020 I am big fan of sony right now i am using s10 plus if this... moreMeanwhile the narrowness 71.1 is a big feature for me or even in general, the 21:9 aspect ratio allows for huge screan size to be used one handed easily, plus the long screen allows for better gaming experience hence it allows for wider field of view and the controls won't take much of the middle of the display, i think it is best for gaming, what do you think??

This just goes to show it depends on individual preferences. Going either way it's going to lose customers.

I am big fan of sony right now i am using s10 plus if this phone width would be 74mm or 75 i would definitely buy it but it is too narrow sony please make right size ok next your decision

There are certain limitations of a platform you are watching the video on - anything you think you see is a pure placebo effect.
Next time try to compare two panels one 8K, second one 1080p with a 240p Youtube video.
