Resolution is not the only requirement.
Most of sensors cannot even do 4K@90.
Not going to happen. The only possibility is they use again sensor with DRAM and 50MP, a mobile version of sensor used by the new Alpha 1

I'm assuming 48MP Ultrawide with EIS (8K recording) + 12MP main with OIS (for the quick burst shots) + 12MP Periscope with OIS and 3.8 apeture + ToF sensor
Not bad. Still waiting for the battery (4,800mAH minimum) and 5G bands but I'm REALLY hoping Sony doesn't screw this up. So far the front-facing stereo speakers and headphone jack are here to stay so good at the moment.

I hope this would fulfill all my desires in a "complete", mobile phone when its officially released; battery, screen resolution, just one good phome with all the configurations right (android).
There is not a complete phone out there (not even Apple brands), they all have one issue or the other, however preference differs, probably manufacturers are doing it deliberately to attract users to want to buy the latest versions. I await the release of the Xperia 1 iii though

I remember samsung phones can do 8K 21:9.
There is crop too, no 4320p like the 16:9 mode.

That rear camera 3rd lens below iToF sensor is a periscope telephoto zoom lens!! That square shape is obvious... Sony already putting telephoto lens since 2019, even their own mid-rangers, where most midrangers nowadays dominated by macro and depth sensors... Why assumes nonsensical things? Not to mention Apple only going to adopt periscope telephoto lens in 2022 and Samsung non-Ultra series doesn't have proper telephoto, rather cropping from the 64MP sensor...

At times I feel left over of HTC is better then Sonys flagship. Even a lame phone like iPhone came up with zoom lens. I can't understand where this flinstons world is existing.

There are many types of 4K. It does not require 2160p.
There is no 21:9 4K screen with 2160p.
The other side would have over 5000 pixels, making 5K already.

Shady69, 28 Jan 2021another unnecessary 4k display to justify their greedy price.Blame those people who want and force Sony to utilize resolution above FHD back in 2014 when QHD gains attraction on most phone manufacturers. (Sony only used QHD twice, XZ3 and Z4 Tablet, while 4K display for 6 times)
