At $1400-1700 US, I think I'll buy a Sony RX100 VII camera for the same amount and get a camera instead of a smartphone.

this phone seems to be the perfect phone ever made. beside the 4K@60 FHD@120. could have put adaptive option.
too bad sony doesnt sell their phones where i live.

But it was more expensive Dragontrail glass. I dropped it more than 1000 times. Yes that is true I dropped it more than 1000 times. The worst was when the clips of plastic case holding it cracked and broke. The phone went flying out of the case and out of my hand it flew a good 6feet or more away from me before it hit the ground which was rough concrete brick floor. It fell flat with display facing down with a big bang enough to gain attention of all the people around there till a good distance. It was laying faced down and as I approached it I was scared and only thing running in my mind was what should I do the phone is dead. That was my first phone which my parents bought for me. Was precious. Was scared and sad at the same time. As I approached and picked the phone up I was shocked, the phone was running perfectly fine and there was not even a small crack on the display. Only a small scratch on the metal frame. But I was like what just happened. Because lets be honest if it were to be any other smartphone back then and even now it would have its glass shattered by a fall like that. Then SONY had to shift to Gorilla Glass because of its much cheaper price. With XPERIA 1 II and XPERIA 1 III SONY should have sourced in Dragontrail Glass again. But sadly it did not.

Sure glass looks nice, but it's easily broken. I to drop phones and I hate cases. Bring back the plastics! Sadly YouTube reviewers pushes "fancy" and "premium" towards all glass constructions. Industry follows, consumers buy...

Anonymous, 01 Jun 2021The assistant button can be reprogrammed Yepp. I know. But then again, the main purpose is invoking the assistant, hemce why that would be the default setting most probably. It would be great if they offered to program the button during the set up. One less thing to worry about later. Though i am pretty sure that most people getting this phone have enough knowledge to reprogram it afterwards. My main point is providing an assistant button is redundant at best, which, we all know will be the default setting of that button and thats what that will be called, even when its reprogrammable and should be called as such.

Give me a button any day. Love the fingerprint reader on the back of Pixels. Pixel reportedly will used an under display reader for the 6.

I kn... moreIt would be awesome if they did do that as having one under display will result in easy unlocking when phone is down on the table ot bed. But you do know that the power button would still be there even when the finger print sensor is moved under display, right? Sure theh could move the assistant button or remove it. Personally i always think the best use of assistants is when you can't touch the phone but want to perform an action, giving a button doesn't really gelp with that
