UserNougat, 14 Apr 2021Why their phones don't support 8K video recording yet?!!! 8k is more like a gimmick... still early for it as the 8k monitors are very expensive and also 4k is more than enough to enjoy an ultra high quality videos!

UserNougat, 14 Apr 2021Why their phones don't support 8K video recording yet?!!! 8K is a gimmick and no other phone actually "supports" it (huges number of low-quality pixels means nothing). You need $10K+ equipment with 15 centimeter wide optics to shoot a porper 8K.

Because dont matter how high is the resolution if you dont have a freaking monitor to view the resolution, and less than 5% of the world population have a pc or tv capable of displaying 8K resolution. 4K is enough, and you cant even see 8K resolution from a telephone screen, its a useless, power hungry, non-sense function for a phone to have.

I get that 4k displays are Sony's thing, but a 1440p screen would've been more practical here for battery life. Speaking of which, I heard the Xperia 1 and Mk. II didn't have a 1440p resolution option... I hope Sony adds that this time around.

And that pop-up selfie cam idea is a failed gimmick imo. It just gives the processor extra to worry about and drains battery faster. Plus it sometimes gets you into situations where you're opening it by accident. (Like on instagram where you only have to swipe right to get into the photo area)

If only it has all front screen like samsung or most other android brands! it's long long time that i want to pick up a sony phone, but the top and bottom bezels are a huge turn off and so 2018 to me! other than that i think sony has the best design and are truly premium android phone manufacturer. with this trend i think sony will join LG in near future and that would be a very sad day to me and it will be a huge blow to android and consumers!

I might buy this phone because of memory microxd slot.. Now days flagship phone don't have this external memory slot. S21 series, oneplus 9 series, mi 11 series. Good job Sony.
