Hi guys! I have some great news about next years Xperia devices! Some source( I won't say it) says some of their phones, or maybe all of them will have a huge battery upgrade from 5000 mAh to 5500 mAh!

can't decide what phone should i buy. xperia 1 IV or xiaomi 14 pro. im thinking twice about xiaomi 14 pro. coz its china rom the message not pop up (like viber, messenger, meet) when the phone is locked

not sure anyone notices..when recording, the video on screen seem no smooth. Seem dropping frame. IF compare to my Samsung older phone, sammy is so much smoother...

I agree with you. It gets too hot easily, and you cannot use the camera app as it will shut down. So frustrated when you are recording where the moment are previous!!!! Just get other brand.. I switch to SONY, and what a wrong move...need to sell it to get, maybe samsung,apple?

I do not recommend you to buy this phone, the heat is increased when you use Camera.
I am very dissapointed.

Why? Why? My phone is getting hot again after taking a few short video of my kids. Though they solve it. Mine is already using the latest updated software. Sony, pls wake up your idea. I have just switched from samsung to YOU. Don't let me down again....

In Aircon place, after taking a few video, u can sure feel the phone warming up..so worry camera app will shutdown .. should have stay with Samsung note...

If u r a camera guy, avoid this phone . It ruined my moment for taking my kids moment.. camera app keep shutdowning coZ phone is getting too hot.. after the latest updates, I thought thing are good . How wrong i am .need to switch phone

Just got the phone, and thought recent software update solve the overheating issue.. used it when brought my son to a indoor farm.. after a few short video, problem arise and the camera app keep shutting down. What a let down

Just gotten it..But the Wifi speed really suck compare to my older samsung note 10+. Probably only 60% of sammy's speed.. Sony, wake up your idea!!!

Which was cause by an inefficient fab of Samsung 4nm node. They are fixed now trough firmware updates, but the fix came far to late.. so many people ditched their phones before the fix. I bought the 5 IV in July 2023 so i didn't noticed all the overheating issues the day-one buyers had.

Couple of days after my warranty expires, my fingerprint sensor stop working. The phone can't even detect it anymore (:.
Apparently this is a big issue with most of their phones. Cheap fingerprint sensors used in a VERY expensive phone.

Is the 4k active only when viewing 4k content? What about when viewing photos in the gallery etc, is 4k enabled or disabled that time?
The only reason why I'm considering the 1 series is the 4k display. Otherwise I think the 5 series is better-- more compact, cheaper, more power efficient, less heat etc. What do you think?
