Simple answer. NO they can't. Because they dont have 4K 120fps recording. I'm not even asking for the HDR mode that 1V has in every fps mode. Xperia 1V is PRO phone.

You're totally confused, my friend. Nobody here cares about the sale of brands but what the brand gives back. The Xperia 1V is a video beast and you can only groan, that's all you have left. Look for shots from the Xperia 1V (in 4K120fps HLG mode) and play it on the new 77-inch QD OLED and you'll jump out of your sneakers

Anonymous, 03 Dec 2023I don't think you've ever touched a lumia or a sony I had a bunch of sony devices. XZ premium was a beast however their mid range devices were complete tr*s* because of poor ram management. Even custom roms were unable to help the situation. Because of that more and more people moved to xiaomi, samsung mid range device section. And now with super high "flagship" prices sony is killing themselves.
Btw don't mention lumia ever again. Because you clearly don't know what are you talking about. All lumia devices worked amazing. Great battery, great and smooth animations. In general they were amazing. It's sad that no one was buying them and app selection were poor. But even then they killed all lumia phones some of their flagships received security updates. That's why even lumia phones were better. And sony doesn't give an f about you or other sony fanboys. 1400euros in europe for 2years of OS updates, bad auto mode, 0 features. Disgusting.

Bad software support, almost no accessories, almost impossible to buy in most countries where xiaomi, apple, samsung, vivo and similar brands are available, super high prices.
The only thing sony fanboys are constantly saying: "BuT iT HaS LsD MoDe". Man stf* no one cares about that. 90% percent people cares about OS updates, auto mode when taking pictures and phone features in general. Sony is far behind all the competition. Apple, samsung, xiaomi, oneplus, bla bla. Everyone is better for their price.

They are selling only in:
US (limited capacity, not through carriers), UK, some western Europe, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand.
In other words they are dying. They aren't even the most popular brand in Japan hahaha.
I'll come to roast you when they go bankrupt. They already started taking games from people. Sooner or later sony overpriced smartphones will be dead like HTC.

2) design------very bad---5 yes old design
3) software support..---- very poor
4) pricing -------- almost equal to iPhone & Samsung ..both the brands offer you max in above 4 points.

I really did not think in the way of protecting patents, but it makes a lot of sense. I am still daily driving mine, even though I have a box full of flagships.
Even if it is just a side project, it's hands down the best phone on the market right now.

I'm very disappointed watching all tech reviews because they all say " This is phone for enthusiasts and not for mainstream users".
Well I would consider myself a mainstream user, I have used iPhone for last 5years and now got myself Sony Xperia 1V. And I don't see why this phone is not considered to be good for everyone. It has really nice design, it feels very comfortable in hand. Has really nice cameras and photos in Auto mode is nice as well👍🏽 Has 4k 120hz display and flagship CPU from Qualcomm.
I can compare pictures from iPhone 13PM and Xperia 1V both on auto mode and both takes great pictures... Sony's are more natural but for me thats a +.
So yes overally I think that it's very unfair to Sony that big tech reviewers vote against this phone for users like me they suggest Samsung or Pixel better .... which is wrong.
I recommend this phone to everyone who wants a great phone ,that is confortable in hand and will handle every task you throw at it very well🥳👍🏽
